Lying on the bed, patiently waiting for Arthur to finish running her bath, Alexis thought about earlier events. Her face started to heat up when she remembered how gentle he was. Gently setting her in the tub, he soon started to walk out of the room until he heard her shyly ask, "Would you like to join me?" A smile tugs at the corner of his mouth; he walks back to the bathtub and gets in.

Leaning with her back against him, Alexis sighed in contentment as he kissed her neck while rubbing up and down her arm. "Did you ever imagine your life would turn out like this?" She asked, and Arthur stopped kissing her neck and thought about her innocent question for a couple of minutes."After I became the king of Atlantis and protector of the oceans, I eventually stopped asking myself that question." Arthur tells Alexis, who pouted. Once he saw her reaction, he chuckled and tenderly kissed her.

"I never imagined my life would turn out this way, but I'm glad it did. If I had to live my life all over again, I wouldn't change a thing."

Alexis's heart starts to beat so fast that it felt like it would burst out of her chest. Her love for the half-Atlantean grew more and more with each passing moment.
