Ch 7: Pt 2

"Nyja."

August cleared his throat behind me. "Baybeh, dis aint da' time or da' place."

As much as I wanted to punch this bitch in her face, I knew I couldn't for many reasons so I just nodded my head as I responded back to August.

"Take care." I said as I grabbed August's hand and walked away.

"Wait!" I turned around and faced Nyja.

"I miss you..& I knew that I would run into you again eventually so I wrote this." She handed me a letter. "You dont have to read it now, but one day, please read it."

She turned around and looked at her daughter. "Lets go Brion."

I watched as the little girl waved at me and I hid the big smile that wanted to come from my face. Dont get me wrong, I was still mad, but she named her daughter after me and that was really sweet considering I tried to kill the poor baby... I hope she didnt tell her that.

"Come on." August grabbed me and we continued to walk around the aquarium.

"So are you going to start looking for another job soon?" August asked.

I shrugged my shoulders. "I don't know. Maybe. Why?"

"Because." He said as he kissed the top of my hand. "I don't think that my lady should be working."

"Ya lady?"

He laughed. "Yes my lady."

We stopped in front of a tank with huge sea turtles in it and I just had to run to the glass. These were my favorite animals.

"August oh my god.. look at them! They're huge!"

"I see ma. Look at dat one over there."

When I turned my head over to look at the turtle that Aug was talking about, a deep sea diver was holding a sign that told me to turn around.

I turned around slowly, not knowing what to expect, but when I seen August down on one knee the loudest scream erupted from my body.

"August!!"

"Babe, i'm not wit' all dis lovey dovey shit, but I ca' tell you dis. Nobody has eva' held me down how you held me down. You are one helluva woman and I just knew you was gone be mine when I was stalkin' ya in da grocery sto' as you say."

We both laughed and so did the crowd that had slowly gathered around us.

"August.." I sniffed. "How in the hell did you set this up?"

"Girl." He smacked his lips. "Dont worry about all dat, just say yes to a nigga!"

I laughd at him then nodded my head. "Yes!"

He put the ring on my finger and I attacked him with a hug and some kisses.

"I love you so much baby."

"I luh you too ma."

I kissed him again. Damn, he's DEFINITELY getting some now.

"Fried chicken, mac and cheese, buttered rolls, green beans, and strawberry cheesecake for dessert." I said to August before placing his plate in front of him and tightening up the strings on my silk robe.

August didnt know it, but I was fixing to let him take all of me.. I was scared as hell, you know, because i'm a virgin and all, but to be honest i've been ready for August since day 1.. I was just waiting on the right time, and this was perfect.
