"Basically, This necklace belonged to my mother. My real mother, my birth mother. I know it's stupid looking, but it's all I have of hers."
"What do you mean your 'real mothers'. Your mum is Jayne. Jayne gave birth to you, she brought you up by herself till you were 10." I was scared about this now.
"Don't you get it Liz. Jayne is lying. She didn't give birth to me, Sophia Lasterie did. I found out the truth, and the elders of Amoria didn't like that."
"So that's why you're here?" Dawson said before taking a bite of his toast. "To find that Sophie lady."
"Sophia." Aerial corrected.
"Whatever. How did you even find out about Sophia?" Dawson said as he chomped on a pancake.
"Aerial came to me one night... in a dream-"
"Pahahahhaha!" Dawson was laughing so hard tears began to well up in his squinted eyes.
I had to slap his arm to make him shut up. The fact he was laughing made me giggle slightly, that did not sit well with Aerial.
Aerial shot up and scowled at Dawson and I. "Look, you Incompetent fools, you asked for answers, and Anthony is trying to give them. So shut up, and act your age... Fricking full bloods." The last words were a mumble, but I still heard them.
What did she mean 'full bloods'?
Dawson cleared his throat." I'm sorry mate, but you just sound like a bit of a nut case."
"Dawson, I understand this May be hard for you and Lizzie to comprehend. But trust me, it will all make sense in the end."
Aerial spoke softly to Anthony, but I managed to work out what she said. "Anthony, why don't you tell them what I am first."
Oh shiz niz.
"Okay babe." Anthony said that to Aerial, but he didn't bother to wisper like she did. "Aerial is more like us than you think..."
I heard Dawson shift nervously beside me. He placed his hand over mine under the table and we linked fingers. He held it loosely but it had a force of safety to it.
"Aerial is a half breed. She's half human and half... What we are." Anthony said, sounding relived to get it out.
"Amorans. Humans call you, Amorans." Aerial informed us.
Dawson let go of my hand to place both of his on the table. "Well first of all, that sounds like 'morons'. Secondly, Does that mean she has a power? And Thirdly, are there any more like her? If there is, then god help us all-"
"Don't judge me." Aerial snapped.
"Aerial, leave it." Anthony placed his arm round her shoulder. "Aerials power is being able to communicate through your thoughts. That's how she talked to me through my dream. And-
"I am the only one of my kind." Aerial finished, in a smug tone.
"Aww, looks like we got a Special snowflake." Dawson joked in a baby voice, before he mimicked the way she pouted.
Anthony quietly sniggered.
Aerial shot both boys a scowl.
"Anthony, There something that's really getting me... You were gone less than 24 hours, yet you're walking round like you've lived here your whole life. Like you've known her your whole life." I questioned, gesturing to Aerial at the end.
"I knew you'd ask that Liz." Anthony shot a smile my way. "See, the thing is, I've been coming here for six months now."
My jaw dropped and I had no words. I managed to mumble something that sounded like "how?"
"You know how I turned eighteen, six months ago?"
"...yeh"
"Well I had one dream the night on my birthday. I dreamt of this place; of Aerial; of the humans; and of my real background. In the dream, Aerial told me how to find my way here and how I could get here quickly. She also told me when and why I had to come here." Anthony stopped to take a breath. "So the next night I prepared myself and used the secret hatch to get myself here. I've been here every night since then. And best of all, I don't sleep, I don't have to!"
So it took my like five minutes to process this information. I finally thought of what to say, I opened my mouth, but Dawson had beat me to actually talking.
"What flipping secret hatch!? Why don't you sleep? And could you just explain a bit more!?" Dawson sound quite agitated.
Well of course he's agitated, Lizzie, you tard. I told myself for being so stupid.
"I can expand on all that later." Anthony said before telling us about his new quest. He and Aerial were planning on going on a week long trek. They were going to go to the other human town. It was behind the mountains.
"We're coming with you." Dawson protested.
"Yeh, that's not going to happen." Said Aerial in her well known, snarky tone.
"Sorry hun. But you don't get a say in this." Dawson told her blankly.
I watched her as she clenched her jaw. Obviously holding back from saying something.
"Would you guys really come!?" Anthony's voice was hopeful.
"Yeh! we want to be there for you Ant. No matter the situation." I said giving Anthony a small reassuring smile.
"Well, we leave tomorrow morning!"
