Chapter Six

You woke up the next day, thinking about your wonderful day with Matt.

All you wanted to do today was see him, sit with him and kiss his adorable face.

Unfortunately, you had to work today.

You got ready and dressed yourself in your work uniform again.

You sighed and left your apartment and made your way to work.

You walked into the building, got behind the counter and began your work day.

Matt was on your mind all day.

"Soooooo,, (Y/N). How did the rest of your night go with your little loverboooooy?? Did he leave you?" Caitlyn teased.

"No, in fact. He's my boyfriend now." You spat back at her.

"Wow. I never knew someone as ugly as you could get someone as cute as him!" Caitlyn said, faking extreme shock.

Tears welled up in your eyes.

Just then, you realized your manager was standing right beside Caitlyn.

"Caitlyn. Can I talk to you?" Your manager spoke.

Caitlyn began to sweat. "Y-yes John." She stuttered out. She followed him into the back of the store.

You covered taking orders and making drinks as that went on.

After a few minutes, Caitlyn walked out of the store crying.

Your manager, John. Put his hand on your shoulder. "I'm sorry she had been treating you like that (Y/N)."

"I'm just glad that it's finally been dealt with." You said, washing the counter.

John gave you a soft smile. "I'll be covering the rest of her shift."

"Alright." You said.

The rest of the day went on quite uneventfully.

You hung up your apron and left the store, waving to John as you left.

You got in your car and drove back to the apartment complex. You planned to spend the rest of the evening with Matt and Ryan.

You walked through the hallway to your house to change into more comfortable clothes.

After that you went next door and knocked on Matt and Ryan's door.

'Knock knock knock'

Ryan opened the door.

"Hey (Y/N)!" He said happily. "Come on in."

You followed Ryan inside and closed the door behind you.

Matt was sitting on the couch, flipping through the channels.

You sat down beside him. "Hey cutie!"

He looked down at you and smiled. "Hey!"

He wrapped his arm around you, pulling you closer.

You leaned into him, only half paying attention to the TV.

You listened to his breathing, his heartbeat. It was calming and eventually lulled you to sleep.

You woke up hours later to Matt shaking you awake.

'(Y/N)... (Y/N)!" Matt whispered to you.

You opened your eyes.

"Do you wanna stay the night?" He asked you.

You nodded sleepily.

Matt picked you up and carried you to his room, putting you down on the bed.

You sat up, yawned and stretched.

"Here, take this." Matt said, throwing you one of his large TShirts.

You went to the bathroom to change, bringing your clothes back to Matt's room and dumping them on the floor.

You quickly climbed into his bed and snuggled up into the covers. Matt eventually joined you, pulling you up to his bare chest.

You wrapped your arms around his torso and fell asleep.

You woke up to Matt, still fully asleep.

You watched him sleep, he looked so peaceful.

He eventually stirred awake, his eyes opening slowly.

You smiled at him and he smiled back.

"Hey." You whispered.

"Hey babe." He whispered back.

"You ready to get up?" You asked.

"I guess so.." He responded.

You sat up and stretched. Getting yourself out of Matt's bed, ready to spend a whole day with Matt.
