You crept out of your house the next morning, being careful not to wake Brad.
You had to open the store today, always your least favorite shifts. Plus, you had to train a new employee at the same time.
You sighed and unlocked the door to the cafe, switched on the lights and began to set everything up.
The door swung open and a panicked looking kid, about 17 or 18 ran in.
"I'm so sorry! I slept in!" She exclaimed, she sounded out of breath.
"it's totally fine." You gave her a soft smile. "You the new employee?"
"Mhm! Name's Serena!" She exclaimed.
"I'm (Y/N), I've worked here for a few months."
You two shook hands and you handed her an apron.
You began to show her the ropes, answering her questions as customers came in. You worked for a few hours when suddenly you saw Matt enter. He looked upset.
"Matt, are you okay?" You asked.
"We need to talk." He said sternly
