I Won't Give Up On You

About a half hour later while I was explaining the nights events to Jinxx, my PHONE went off. It was a tweet from Amber. It said " @AshleyPurdy I am a block away from where I work, Ash, I am sorry I don't think I am going to make it."

I found the place two hours later and I called her name, but there was no reply. Finally I found her. I picked her up lightly and she tried to open her eyes. Her injuries were pretty bad, she had a busted lip, two black eyes, it looked like her arm and maybe a few ribs were broken. How could he do this to her? Then Jinxx walked in and I heard him gasp.

Jinxx had always talked about when he was little but he never mentioned he had siblings. But her twitter was AmberFerguson, could her and Jinxx be related? I mean he looked pretty concerned. I got Jinxx to drive us to the hospital. The poor thing was bloody and bruised. I carried her in and the DOCTORS took her to an emergency room. They told me to wait in the lobby. I took this time to try and get something from Jinxx.

Me: "Jinxx, what is going on? Do you know Amber?"

Jinxx: "Ash, I don't wanna talk about it."

Me: "Jinxx, tell me!"

Jinxx: "Fine"

He told me about how he has a sister and they used to do everything together. Then he told me about the day at the park when he left her for a few minutes to talk to his friends.He told me that he tried to save her but he didn't make it. The poor guy was in tears. I could tell he blamed himself for her getting kidnapped, but it doesn't explain why he never told us he had a sister.

One of the DOCTORS came out to the lobby. He asked for me as I walked to him and asked how she was doing. He told me she wasn't going to make it and that it would be best if I said my goodbyes now. I felt like my whole world was stopping. I don't know why, I mean I just met the girl. I knew I couldn't let her die. I looked at Jinxx and shook my head. I was not about to let her die.
