Whooooop! Whooooooooop! Guess what, guys? We're about halfway done with this series! (This is approximately, of course, and it's possible for 'Version Cedrus' to be either shorter than this or longer than this. This depends on my updating schedule [which there isn't one, given how everywhere my life is], the length of the chapters, and whether or not you guys want the story to continue! :3)

Oh, and don't worry- One I finish one book, I'll be onto the next promptly! I have a selection of story ideas to work with, so you'll be hearing from me for quite a while! :)

With that out of the way, onward to the chapter!

Amalia's POV:

My mind is whirling. Yugo isn't Cedar's father? Yugo and Sheila aren't together? Part of me is overjoyed, but more of me is concerned. Since Maroon died that night, that means if Yugo comes with us when we leave, Cedar will be without a father.... or rather, without someone who's been his father. I frown. "Six years, huh? Six years you've been here, living...." I look away. "It must've been hard for you." When I look back, he looks somewhat relieved; that, and something I can't place. "Yes, it was. I had no idea if I would ever see any of you again. I had.... I had actually given up hope weeks before you washed up here, same as me; only thing is...." "....it was six years later." I finish his sentence as he trails off. He nods. "As for the rest of what happened, I told Halzi and Sheila basically everything.... the history of the Brotherhood, stuff like that. Even about Oropo and how he was created. Halzi knows a great deal about Eliatrope biology; She's been studying me ever since I got here. She's a pretty good healer for me, if I do say so myself. She's a very quick learner! Who ever said that an old Bow-wow couldn't learn new tricks?" At this, none other than the Eniripsa Halzi bursts in the room. She flutters over to Yugo and whacks the back of his head. "I'm not a Bow-wow, nor am I old!" She huffs. Yugo puts his hands up in surrender. "Right, right! Sorry!" I smile. Halzi looks at me. "Does she know about your condition?" This catches my attention, and earns a guarded look from Yugo. I fix a stare on Yugo. "What does she mean, your condition?" Halzi all but runs out the room, only saying, "I've got more healing to do for the others, see you later!" Yugo squirms uncomfortably under my gaze. "I.... well... uh....." My eyes narrow. "Halzi didn't tell us the truth about your health, did she? Well?" He continues to squirm, avoiding my gaze. "Er........" I sigh. "Fine, then. If you don't want to tell me, then don't. I don't mind." I said I didn't, but I lied. I did mind, because it felt like he was lying to my face. It was my turn to avoid gazes, and I walk out and shut the door behind me, not once looking at Yugo. Even so, I felt his sad gaze pierce me.
