I don't know what to feel. I saw him slipping but it was like time slowed down and just ceased to exist.

Little did I know, that was exactly what happened.

I'm frozen.
In time, in space, and yet something just doesn't sit right with me.
I can't move, breathe, or speak, but I don't need to move, breathe, or speak.
It's oddly comforting. I'm just....

Unable to look away from Yugo, who looks like he has the stars in his eyes. Whatever he's seeing... he doesn't seem to want to.

Then, he stirs from his trance, and sits up. I'm still unable to move. He calmly looks at me.... but...
What I see in his eyes is something foreign. Something far from benign.

Someone unknown, and someone dangerous. It probably would've terrified me had I not been comfortingly numb.

His eyes were like that of a beast.

Or should I say,

Like that of a fierce dragon?

Then the numb was yanked away from me, and the fear was way too close.

It was way too real. I didn't recognize the man in front of me, and that alone terrified me. He calmly blinked at me, as if understanding my terror.

Then I blinked, he was gone, and my heart broke.
I don't know why even now, looking back.
But....
Something told me that the man I loved had ceased to exist.
