going for a swim

The drive back was a quiet one. Not that it was awkward we often enjoyed each others company in silence. Unlike very few people she enjoyed being able to think and ponder on the many mysteries of life much like myself. Any chance i got while driving I would reach down and hold her hand. At one point close to the complex i let go to make a sharp turn she placed her hand in my lap and left it there till we arrived. I turned off the car got out and opened her door in what must of looked like a panicked school boy rushing to get to his class without making a scene. I was so giddy it made no sense to me. I was never like this. She offered the most angelic smiles as she gracefully climbed out of the car. We had only been gone for 2 hrs with new York traffic. We walked hand in hand down the hallway from the garage to the lobby once we reached the lobby she let go of my hanf immediately as we were dead infront of Liz.
" oh my god. Were you just. Abe. (Y/n). An item? Like wait when?"
"Liz please dont make a scene. Especally dont tell Red. Id rather tell him in person."
"Yea Liz I wouldnt want to be the cause to jeopardize Abe's friendship with Red."
"Listen Abe. Youre happy Red needs to learn to stop being a baby. He dosent even hate you (y/n) hes just a little home sick without pops here. Its not personal. Its kind of like a bad dream for him except he cant wake up from him. He rarely fears anything except loosing pops. It messes him up when pops was attacked."
"Liz I will go talk to Red in the morning but we were just returning and wanted to retire to bed."
"Uh huh "retire". Sure Abe."
"Why I would never. I am a gentleman through and through Liz."
"You know im just pulling your fin Abe. Good night you two....have fun"
"Liz please! Dont be so vulgar."
She walked away chuckling causing (y/n) to join in.
"Oh you too?"
"Its just funny."
"What is?"
"You take everything so serriously."
"I still havent mastered the whole sarcasm thing."
"You will one day."
"Well if you will (y/n) we should get back to our room."

We walked into the elevator and as it closed we moved closer and closer to each other enjoying the feeling of each other. I grabed her waist and moved her close to me.
"May I have this dance Madame?"
"You may kind sir."
I had her step onto my feet as i swayed the both of us to the elevator music occasionally dipping her or spinning her around as she giggled in amusement. The bell dinged letting us know that we were there. She stepped off my feet and gave a quick bow and ran off to her room in an absolute giggle fit.
"Abe let me get this stupid field outfit off and into something a bit more comfortable. I cant stand another secind in this stupid thing. Its impossible to breath."
"If it were impossible to breath you wouldn't be talking (y/n)"
"Oh shush you know what i mean smarty pants."
She began to walk towards her room from the elevator.
"Actually come here."
She slowly and curiously creeped back to me unsure of what is to come next.
"Turn around?"
"Umm Why?"
"Your zipper. Oh boy that sounded not how i wanted it too. Oh jeez. Like youll need help with it. I figured I'd do it now. So you dont go to your room try to get it down-"
"You know I wouldn't mind it if you did."
"If I did what?"
"Um...well you know. Wanted to....you know."
"I don't actually (y/n)."
"Well I wouldn't mimd it if...um if you undressed me that is "
Not only could I feel myself blush but i could feel her as well. I couldnt help it something in the back of my head said do this now. So I kissed the back of her neck ever so slightly then slid her zipper down to the small of her back. She turned around and stared at me with those eyes. I love those eyes so much.
"Abe what was your suggestion about swimming?"
"Well i figured you would like to swim in my tank with me. Just for awhile."
"You know..yea. I'd like that."
I didnt expect her to but she slid the outfit off in front of me leaving her in her black underwear and bra. She neatly folded up the field suit and placed it on the table.
"Well fish sticks are we going for a swim?"
"Wow."
She chuckled again and did a sarcastic little spin.
"Like what you see blue?"
"Like dosent even cover half of it. I mean - I'm- wow- that wasnt very modest of me. I apologize. You are beautiful."
" you dont have to apologize Abe. We are dating after all right?"
"Well yes we are."
"You know what that makes you to me right?"
"Um yes. I do."
"Yea. You're my boyfriend. Its normal to see your girlfriend in her underwear."
"Yup. Yea. In your underwear "
"Alright alright. Lets go swimming before you have a stroke trying to process a girl in her underwear you need."
She playfully knudged my arm.
"Let me just take this stupid thing off as well."
I normally never have a problem being in my trunks every other day. But now it felt different. I almost felt vulnerable taking my clothes off in front of her. It wasn't even in a sexual manner between the two of us it just felt like it could lead up to that. I folded my suit and placed it carefully next to hers. I started to make my way up to the tank.
She followed me up the stairs to the tank and watched me leap in. Only when I emerged to the top did she dive in. She swam right up to me. Her (favorite color) hair flowing behind her. She looked even more beautiful if possible. She swam up into my arms and wrapped her legs around my torso and kissed my jaw line. As I swam around with her slowly but surely catching up to me either to kiss or splash me when heard the library door click. We both panicked. Taking in the situation that we are both practically undressed swimming around at 12am in my tank could gice the wrong impression.
"What do we do Abe?!"
"Quick i have an idea float on you're back for me."
"Um ok. I trust you know what youre doing."
"Hello who's there?"
"Yo fish sticks its me Red! You-."
He stopped dead in his tracks.
"What's she doing in you tank half naked?"
" Im teaching (y/n) how to properly hold her breath underwater and how to improve her swimming. We may have an underwater assignment and need to prepare for an emergancy procedure."
"Um sure...wait its like midnight Abe....you know what...whatever. I heard you went out tonight? How the Hell did you even pull that?"
"Well that would also be (y/n). She thought of a great scheme to get us out. Well it was more like the guys in HQ telling us it won't be able to happen but she figured out a plan for us-"
"Well i just wanted to know if it was true. But you weren't gone for very long and wanted to see if you were alright."
"Oh that was because we both didn't really feel up to staying out. The crowds looked rough and were pretty distracted on outer next upcoming mission. "
"Hell if I was able to get out i dont think i would come back. Big mistake buddy. You should try something besides working."
"Well you know how i am. I'm not a going out sort of man."
"Well whatever ill leave you and miss no clothes to you're "emergency preparing". But whatever you do blue boy don't hook up with that girl she drives me nuts."
"Like wise red you are quite unpleasant most of the time "
"Don't call me Red pipsqueek. now keep doggy paddling ok."
"Take care of Liz Red I'll talk to you latter."
"See ya fish sticks. Doggy padle."
And he trotted out the door.
"Boy that was a close call good job Abe for you're quick thinking."
"I didnt lie about anything phew. Itll be easier to break the news that way. I don't think he bought our excuses anyway."
"I just hope your able to stay friends. I know hes not fond of me."
"He'll get over it eventually. But till then I'd just say tread lightly. He's always on a bit of an edge with new people. But he'll come around eventually. Hes not a bad guy either."
"Ill try my best for your sake."
She flipped back over and slithered into my arms again. I floated there with my legs bent so she could sit up on my lap. As she curled up into my lap and placed her head in the pivot of my neck and shoulder; I could feel every curve of her body and her soft skin brush against mine. Her finger gently traced circles on my neck as she gently brushed over my gills. I felt a feeling I've never felt before it was almost primal; but it made me grab her hips and pull her tightly to me.
"Ah ha found your sweet spot." I couldnt help but chuckle as I brought her mouth to mine and kiss her deeply. I could feel her body push into mine as her spine arched. Our tongues dancing in and out of each others mouths. Enjoying the taste of her sweet lips on mine was like a drug. I needed more of it. I think I would go crazy with out more; or possibly more of her. I moved her so her leg went around my waist so she was now stratling me. I could feel myself press up against her; It drove me insane. But she broke the kiss first this time.
"Abe. It is getting late and I do wish to sleep tonight.I think it might go even further than this if we continue. "
"Ah yes. Rest is important as so is modesty."
She kissed my cheek and hugged me close to her. Taking in the smell of flowers and books now mixing with the fresh water.
"I had and amazing time tonight Abe."
"I did as well dear."
She kissed me one last time before swimming to the ledge of the tank and getting out.
"If you need anything just walk into my room. Alright?"
"Alright. Sleep peacefully love."
"You as well dear Abe." And with that I watched her wet dewy skin walk down the stairs and into her room right across the library.
