Every single day and every single hour passed by so incredibly slow that I didn't know how much longer I could bare it.  The only parts of the day I looked forward to were my daily soaks in Abe's tank and our "official business" calls.  They were so often at first, four or five times a day.  But by mid week of week two I was only getting two a day.  I know he's busy and that I'm just acting like a child but I need him here with me I'm loosing my mind.  Don't get me wrong the time I'm spending with Liz and Red is fun.  I'm genuinely making friends with them.  I'm glad I am especially for Abe's sake.  Red knows that too I made it very clear to him that we have to get along the last thing you want is for Abe to be upset that the two of us don't get along.  He seemed to reason more knowing his soul brother desperately wanted us to get along, and it wasn't so hard to get along knowing how close Liz has gotten to you.  You know Abe will be embarrassed knowing that Liz knows some details about how great it is to have a partner that can read your mind in bed.  Especially from what she's told you about Red and his ability to always end up embarrassing himself in some way shape or form.  It's nice to have another girl around to ask questions about "things".  Especially "things" involving our "monster men".  A joke her and I have started using on a regular because the boys just don't understand how abnormally... large...they are.  Things seemed to be falling into perfect place.  I was all settled in, I became fast friends with Red, and have finally started to remember where everything was in the complex.

Our scheduled call for 8pm. I was through the roof excited to tell Abe all about the day I had.  Going out shopping with Liz, buying something special for when he came back, and finding  books in storage about ancient river gods who resemble fish people.  It seemed like it would peek his interest (especially having no clue where he came from or who his parents are).  But 8pm came and went and no word from Abe. It wasn't like him to not contact you.  He loved you...at least you thought so.  What if something happened to him? What if something worse happened to him? What if he meet someone else and decided to ignore me? No Abe wouldn't do that he's not like any of my exes. Panic began to set in and eat away at my head the only thing I could think of was that Abe was hurt. That's why he hasn't been able to respond.  I need to find a way to contact him. But how? I don't have a transmission that links to their call in center that's all on Abe when he send the transmission to me.  I could always sneak into Manny's office and take his transmitter but I'd get caught.  He has guards on his office at all time.  Thanks Red. Liz and Red don't have one because Manny tells them what missions they have to go on and their both field agents. Where in this stupid complex can I find a transmitter?

So I found myself crawling through the cobwebs and dust on the storage unit.  Unit 2158. Better known as junk from 1965-1999.  I felt in my gut there had to be some old transmitter I can hit wire in the library to work.  I know Abe's route number and can make a line using that.  But the risks of it not going through are very high.

That's when I found it.  A 1972 transmission unit.  I'm pretty much mint condition.  They weren't used as often in the 70s due to the red scare. So it should work like a charm.

The stupid transmitter with a bunch of finagling and WAY to much effort finally made its first signal.  The dial tone summoning me out of my over worked panic.  The second ring went through.  That's when I knew I wasn't going insane it was actually working.  Abe answered by the sixth ring. 
Utter chaos.
That's all I could hear in the background.  Screams loud booms and static ringing in and out in a steady pulse.

"My love I'm ok.  You need to tell Manny the Corp is back.  You have to tell him 88.6 south and 55.9 west.  Those are the coordinates we found inscribed on the fairies stone. I'm ok my love just please send back up immediately. We're hiding in the caverns under the fairy stone. Please tell the back up to be careful.  The Corp is armed."
"Abe please stay safe!  I'm telling Manny right now!"
"Darling wait!"
"Yes love?"
"If anything happens to me just know I love you.  I'll come home to you"
I couldn't help but feel the lump in my throat tighten and clog my way of breathing.
"I love you too baby.  Please please coming home to me".

With that I cut the transmission and ran the fastest I have ever ran to Manny's office.
