As I lay in the fluffy sheets and dark in my dry clothes;  I could only think of the way Abes webbed hands felt on mine.  They weren't scale like or cold like I thought they would be.  The were warm and smooth. Almost velvety. But when wet they were slippery and smooth like a wet slate rock. The smell of fresh water and library musk he had enticed me. For some reason that smell got stronger and stronger as i felt someone seek into my bed.
"Abe?"
"Um.  Normally I'm not this bold.  But would you mind if I joined you this evening.  My mind tends to keep wondering and sleep is not coming easily this night "
"Of course."
I flip over to see the midnight shrouded fish man laying next to me.  The moonlight accentuating at a few of his features.  Like his chiseled jaw line and protruding gills or his round doll like eyes staring into my soul.  Those golden globes ive come to enjoy immensely over my time here. I take the blankets and cover him up along with myself and move in a little closer.
"What has you up Abe?"
"I'm not sure. I just keep thinking about today and everything that's happened.  Its just keeping my brain busy."
"That's alright ill keep you company.  Although i may fall asleep on you."
"That's alright.  I just need some company to ease my thoughts."
He scooched closer to me wraping the free hand that wasnt propping his head up around my waist.  I could feel his smooth velvety skin move against my mid drift.  The shirt I was wearing had moved up on me when I laid down and never bothered to fix it.  He noticed and moved the shirt back down for me and put his arm back to where it was.  I could feel his breath swoosh across my chest as he took deep breaths to calm his nerves.  His eyes never left my face.  He never examined my body or forced himself onto me.  He just laid there to enjoy my company because he was troubled.  I think its because he's been so lonely and to finally have one person to feel and experience its gotten him shaken up.  Books are our worst enemies.  They portray the most beautiful love stories and leave us lonely once done with them.
We just stayed there looking into each others eyes.  The way the moon light danced around in his yellow eyes made it look like fresh embers glowing in a fire.  The hottest part of the flame dancing and twinkling with the warmth and comfort that comes with the fires.  He inched himself closer to me tightening his grasp around me.
"May I lay my head down on you?"
"Of course don't be shy."
He carefully placed his head onto my chest at first with no weight at all then as he got more and more comfortable I could feel him lay completely down.  His velvet skin comforted me.  It made me warm and fuzzy inside like I could fall asleep and stay asleep for a very long time like this.  He slid his other hand underneath me to pull me into a hug and sighed as his eyelids began to flutter close.
"Im normally not like this i apologize but the comfort of having you here right now is almost therapeutic if that makes sense."
"I get that too.  You make me feel safe and more at home."
"If I may I would like to stay the night.  Like this with you. I wont take advantage of you and I intend on being a gentleman-"
"I know you would never take advantage of me Abe. You're to much of a good man to do that."

He leaned up and kissed my neck gently.  Occasionally stroking the side of my face with his fingers or twirling a small bundle of my hair. I in turn put my on hand on his neck and traced his jawline.  Then traced the beautiful navy markings leading to his gills and gently ran my fingers across them.  I felt him shiver underneath my touch and move his face into my chest.  It sounded like he was almost purring; like a cat.  I saw him look up at me and his face was now tinted with a deep royal blue at his cheeks.  He was blushing and he looked adorable. I leaned up to kiss him and as I did he climbed up and obliged.  As i laid my head down on my pillow Abe moved lightly over me to deepen our kiss.  His hands never strayed and stayed right on my face and every once in awhile tucked some hair behind my ear or grabbed more at my jaw. We weren't doing anything except for kissing.  We were completely wrapped up in eachother only focused on that very moment.  We never heard the alarm going off for a paranormal disturbance. We weren't called directly and our alarm wasnt going off so we weren't needed; There were other agents to take care of things.  Right now it was our time to sleep and enjoy our little time to ourselves.
