Okay look, I'm trash and I usually try to go for something simple. But it's great to be original and try out your own designs. So like here, I made a random trash ass cover for example.

I don't know what I was going for, but I'm sure you get what I mean. Don't be afraid to try new things. Everything takes time. And the more effort you put into your cover, the more you learn about your apps and your editing skills get so much better. Though, I can't say that for myself. But I believe in you all.
This is my an old cover style I had before. I hereby give permission to everyone viewing this to use this style if they please. It's very simple, but cute & you can add filters and personal touches. It just works.

For this, I recommend going to dafont.com and there you will find plenty of new fonts to download in your app and they're much better than the general choices because it adds your personal touch. This website has saved my life, honestly.
Font: Chasing Embers Demo Version.otf
Use two fonts. For example;—

I probably could have made a better example, but you catch my drift from this.
There are many things you can do with your book cover so don't be afraid to get creative and try new things. I suck, but that doesn't mean you will.
