( 21. ) Faceclaims ✓

Choosing a face claim can become a difficult process, especially if you already have an ideal image in mind of who you want to portray your character. So, when searching, you must put into detail exactly what you are looking for. You cannot be bland with Google because if you're looking for a strong, Latina face claim and only type in "latina celebrities", you're going to find Victoria Justice and Selena Gomez.

A way to avoid this is to find shows or movies that portray a wide array of what you're looking for. Or even with music, bands and singers— find a certain style and search for it. Then you will find people associated with that type of show/movie/music. Overall, it's easier. For example: Orange is the New Black has a very diverse cast all around, so finding out who the actors/actresses are on there could help you to find one that you really see fitting your character description.

Another thing is, don't be disappointed if you can't find what you are looking for. Unfortunately it's hard to find people with "unlikely" characteristics in the industry, so they won't always be put up front. With a lot of research, you could find a wonderful face claim and fall in love with their features instead. This is where you can alter your set image of your character to match your face claim, and you don't really have to do this, only if it fits to your preference. They do not have to be exact.

     This is a short chapter because there's really nothing more to it, besides doing your research and not settling for what's shown upfront. I could give more tips and examples in another chapter if anyone wants it. By examples, I mean listing a few face claims and where they're known from and basic info, stuff like that. I guess just comment here if you're actually interested in that for a chapter ??
