Your POV

I woke up to the smell of some bomb soul food being cooked. I opened my eyes and realized that I was still at Normani's. I sat up, stretched out and grabbed my phone. I had a text from my dad telling me to call him, so I did.

"What's up, old man?" I asked while yawning.

"Nothing, just checking up on you. When do you think you're coming home?"

"Well, Miss Barbara is gonna hold me captive and make me gain a couple of pounds for a few," I answered. "You got that right. My baby is staying here forever," Miss Barbara shouted and I laughed. "That's fine with me because he doesn't feed me anyways," I replied.

"Stop telling people I don't feed you before we fight. Also, I packed you some clothes in your backpack because I thought you would've gone with Khalid. It's in the trunk," he said playfully, "I'm going to go to the gym. Bring me back some food."

"Okay, dad."

"Bye, munchkin. I love you."

"I love you too, dad," I replied and hung up my phone. I got up and stretched again. I folded the blanket, slipped on my shoes and grabbed my keys. I walked to the front door, opened it and walked to my car. It was so hot and I regretted having on a hoodie. I popped the trunk and grabbed my backpack. I slammed the trunk down and locked my truck. I went back into the house and was stopped by Normani.

"Go upstairs and use my bathroom. There's towels on the counter for you. It's right across from my room," She said before walking into the kitchen. I went upstairs to her bathroom and sat my bag on the bathroom counter. I closed and locked the door. I turned on the water and waited for it to get hot. Once it was hot, I turned on the shower and stripped out of my clothes. I was so happy to get out of those jeans.  I dig through my bag and found my body wash. I stepped in the shower and was relieved. I washed my body a good four time before getting out. I dried off, put lotion on my body and put my clothes on. I brushed my teeth and washed my face before putting my dirty clothes in my backpack. I put on my socks, walked out of the bathroom, grabbed my charger and put my bag in Normani's room. I went back downstairs and sat on Normani's lap as she let the recliner back.

"You're heavy, Y/N/N," Normani groaned and wrapped her arms around me. I leaned over and plugged my charger into my phone.  I relaxed in her arms and played with her fingers. It felt like we were never separated by the storm. It felt good to have Normani back in my life.

"I missed you," Normani mumbled against my shoulder.

"I missed you too, Mani," I replied. We sat there watching Spider-man until Mama Drea announces the food was done. Normani pushes me off of her and ran to the kitchen. I rolled my eyes and stood up. Mama Drea fixed my plate first, so Normani still had to wait. I stuck my tongue out at her and plucked her arm. I said the fastest prayer ever and started eating. Let's just say that I had probably three or four plates. I didn't even want dessert afterwards, but Miss Barbara saved me some. I sat down on the sofa next to Mama Drea and laid my head on her lap.

"When's the last time you talked to your mother?" she asked twirling the little curls hanging from the my messy bun.

"I haven't talked to her since her and my dad got divorced. She told me not to call her, that she hated me for ruining her marriage and that she wanted nothing to do with me, so I didn't bother trying."

"Well she's missing out on such an amazing daughter. So what's the next step in you're life?"

"I don't know yet. I'm still deciding. I'm taking a break from fighting to better myself and other stuff."
