A/N: HI!
Your POV
I got back from working out and went to go check on Normani and Isabella. Isabella was asleep in Normani's arms while Normani was watching a movie.
"How long has she been sleep?" I asked Normani as I walked over towards them.
"She just feel asleep about two hours ago. How was your workout?" she asked lean her head back to look up at me.
"It was good. It was kinda empty in the gym today," I replied and pecked her lips. I noticed tear streaks on Bella's face.
"Why was she crying?" I asked Normani.
"She thinks that you feel like you made a mistake by getting custody of her because your dad won't talk to you and she was crying because of her parents," she replied still rocking the younger girl, who seemed to be content in her arms.
"I'll talk to her when she wakes up. I'm gonna go shower," I told Normani. She nodded and I went up to my room. I got some clothes to put on after my shower. I took a quick shower because I was hungry and my legs were hurting. I got out, dried off, put lotion on and then put my clothes on. I went back downstairs to see Normani asleep with Isabella still laying on her chest. I guess she didn't know that the chair was a recliner, so I let it back for her without awakening the two sleeping beauties. I put another blanket over the two and kissed their foreheads. Isabella started to wake up a bit and I guess Normani sensed it because she started to rub Isabella's back, but I couldn't tell you how because Normani was knocked out. Isabella went back to sleep. I went in the kitchen and fixed myself something to eat. I ate in the library while I finished reading Old Creole Days. I didn't realize how long I had been reading until I noticed that the sun was setting. I put the book back and went to see if the girls were awake. They were still in their previous position, but Isabella was awake. She was just enjoying being in Normani's arms.
"Hey, baby girl. How'd you sleep?" I asked her. She looked at me and her eyes lit up as if it was her first time seeing me after months.
"I s'eep good. Mani good 'uddles," she replied smiling at me.
"She does? Are they better than mine?" I asked.
"No, your 'uddles da bes' in da worl'," she replied making me smile.
"How are you feeling? Does your throat still hurt?"
"I 'eel okay. My t'roat hurt," She replied.
"How about I warm you up some soup?" I asked her and she nodded. She carefully escaped Normani's gentle hold and ran over to me with her blanket still covering her body. I picked her up and walked to the kitchen. I took the soup out of fridge and grabbed a pot. I poured the soup into the pot and turn it to low heat on the stove. I made sure to cut her lemon up for her before she went crazy.
"Normani told me you were crying because of your parents and because my dad won't talk to me because I took custody of you. Is that true?" I asked sitting on a stool and picked her up to sit her on my lap.
"Yea'. Is all my fau't," she replied quietly.
"It's not your fault. It's their fault for not having a heart. Your parents are the most idiotic people for not wanting you. My dad is just as stupid as them. I'm happy that I have custody over you. I know your parents didn't let you do a lot because all their attention was on Caleb. Now I get to take you anywhere and we can do anything you've ever wanted but couldn't. I'm always gonna be there for you no matter what. I don't regret getting custody of you at all and I never will. I honestly don't care if my dad never talks to me again. That's all on him. I have the one thing that has ever made me happy right by my side. You're my baby. You've always have been and you always we be. I love you so much and I don't ever want you to forget that."
