"Doctor, his heart is beating again. I don't know how. Hurry," A nurse said and he immediately took off. I didn't know how to feel. I paced around which only made everything worse. A few hours later, he came back out with a small smile.

"He wants to see you all. He specifically told me to tell Y/N that he's a 'real nigga'," my uncle said, "Also come give me a hug, I haven't seen you in forever." I gave him a hug and he cracked my back.

"Damn," I said and he laughed.

"Who is this young lady right here?" he asked me.

"That's my wife, Normani. Normani, this is my mom's brother, Richard," I replied and his jaw dropped.

"What? Wife?" he questioned as he escorted us to the room where Armand was.

"She's married with two beautiful girls," my mom said and he gasped.

"Goddamn. Am I that old?" he asked.

"Well..." I trailed off as we walked into the room. Armand was laying there pale, but alive.

"Can I get some l some food? A n-nigga hungry," Armand said softly, "My throat dry, momma."

"You can't eat anything right now. He is on heavy pain medication," my uncle said getting him some water.

"Man, c-come on, unc. A n-nigga gone die f-from starvation b-before I die for being shot," he said making me chuckle.

"Nigga, you did die from being shot. Get shot once and think you Tupac or something," I said and he laughed.

"I got s-shot twice. My arm is b-broken. I can't feel it t-though," he said and I shook my head sitting on the edge of the bed.

"What happened?"

"We were going s-somewhere and they had got into an argument w-with these dudes. The dudes followed us. We got to a r-red light and they started s-shooting, but t-they were only shooting at my door. Tony stupid d-duck ass stepped on the b-breaks and we got hit. I don't know w-where they went. T-they just left me, but I called m-mom and I guess she c-called you. I think they set me up, ma," he said rambling.

"That's what it sounds like," I said, "who is Tony?"

"One of our c-cousin's. He's cool, b-but he's always saying l-little slick shit. No doubt that he didn't s-set this shit up. He's the j-jealous type of c-cousin," he said and I nodded.

"Where does he stay?" I asked.

"Around that a-area. Momma k-knows the street," he said.

"Momma, where does Tony live?" I asked her.

"I'm not telling you until we find out if he did this. He could possibly do this to you," my mom said and I nodded.

"You and Normani go home. I'll stay here with Armand," my mom said. I could tell her nerves were bad by how she was tapping her fingers. I didn't give her hug because I was covered in blood, but she didn't care. She hugged me tightly and did the same to Normani.

"I love you two. Be safe," she said.

"Love you too," Normani and I said in unison.

"Bye, homos. I l-loves yous," Armand said laughing making me shake my head.

"I love you, too," I told him and we left.

"Baby, how are you feeling?" Normani asked and I just shrugged.

"Would you like to get some different clothes to put on?" she asked and I shook my head.

"Can we go home? I wanna shower," I told her and she nodded. We walked to the car and she drove us home. The ride was silent. We finally got home and I walked in.
