Friday before Mardi Gras
Your POV
"Mommy, 'ow long will it take?" Bella asked as I put her in her car seat.
"A few hours, baby. You'll most likely sleep the entire time," I told her and gave her a kiss.
"Can I use my iPad?" she asked.
"You gotta ask, mama," I told her.
"Can I call her?" she asked and Bri gave her phone to Bella.
"Yes, baby?" Normani said clearly still asleep.
"Mama, can I use my iPad?" Bella asked.
"No, because you're still on punishment. However, if you don't cause mommy any trouble, that means no tantrums, then maybe I'll cut your punishment down. You have to be really really good though," Normani said and Bella got excited.
"I be good, mama. I p'omise," she told Normani.
"Okay, baby. I'm going to call mommy and make sure you're keeping your promise."
"Yes, ma'am," Bella said.
"I love you," Normani told her and blew kisses through the phone making Bella giggle.
"I love you, mama," Isabella replied blowing kisses through the phone to Normani. They hung up and Bella gave Bri back her phone.
"Do you wanna read a book?" I asked her and she nodded.
"A 'rinkle In Time, please," she stated.
"Wanna see a magic trick?" I asked and she nodded. I pulled the book from underneath my seat and she gasped.
"Mommy, how?" she asked in amazement.
"I can't tell my secrets. Do you want me to let your seat back?" I asked her and she nodded.
"Thank you, mommy," she said as I let her seat back but made sure it still close enough for me to reach her. Bri had let her seat back and was falling asleep. I closed the door and got in the car.
"Y/N, do you have everything?" my mom asked and I nodded.
"You need anything?" I asked her and she shook her head.
"Mama," Bri whined.
"Yes?"
"I'm sad," she said.
"Ma, you mind switching seats with her?" I asked my mom.
"Is that okay with you, Bri?" I asked and she gave me soft yes as her answer. They all switched seats and I heard Bri mumbling something.
"Everybody comfy?" I asked and they all said yes, "let's get the show on the road." I pulled out of the garage and let the garage door down. Before I left, I shut the entire house down. Bri moves her seat closer to mine and held my hand.
"Everything will be okay. You matter and you have purpose," I told her as I kissed the back of her hand. An hour into the ride, she had fallen asleep with her hand still holding mine. Bella was reading her book. She was way into it. Armand, Amauri and my mom were asleep.
"Mommy, w'at's tan'ible?" Bella asked me and I thought about it.
"Perceptible by touch," I replied and she mumbled something underneath her breath. The rest of the ride flew by. Bella fell asleep with her book on her face.
"Y/N, we're staying in your grandparents old house," my mom said out of nowhere which scared me.
"Don't do that," I said and she started laughing.
