Nandini's POV:

"Hello?"

"Sugar!" someone said and I sat up with a jerk.

"Missed me? U become more beautiful day by day. But why don't u do the things I told u to? U always do the things I told u not to do. Poor, young and successful Manik, he have to die." He said with an evil laugh and I shuddered.

"What do u want?” I asked mastering up my all strength.

" Don't u know sugar? It's u, It's always been u. U know I lost my more than half company just because of u."

"It's because of ur irresponsibility not me." I said sternly.

"No sugar,it's u. U become very naughty and it was very hard to keep up with u. That's why I couldn't concentrate on my business." He was still talking to me with his sick loveable voice.

"Tch tch tch Maddy, u are still the same. Always blame someone else because of ur failure. Just except it that u are a great loser."  I shouted.

"Don't talk to me like that! U very well know I don't like it. I think u forget what I am capable of." He said angrily.

"U are capable of nothing! Ur time is over. U can't do as u please anymore because now I am not afraid of u."

"Oh my feisty sugar, don't shout ur fiance will wake up. After all u moved in with him. u are not afraid of me, u are terrified of me and I will prove u that. U are Mine! Good Night, Sugar. See u soonest tick tock tick tock." He cut the call with his signature evil laugh.

I didn't realize I came at the Terrace while I was talking to that psycho. The Moonlight was spreaded everywhere giving the nature a surreal look. It was so calm and the cool breeze did the rest of magic.

"U sounded brave."

"Well, I had to. Someone told me that he will make everything ok. And I trust him." I turned and saw Manik leaning against the wall with the help of his back.

"He will be delighted to know it. Jokes apart what did he say?" He said srsly holding my shoulder.

"That He will prove that I am terrified of him and I am his." I shrugged.

"I will make sure he won't come in ur 500m rader." He said cupping my face.

"Manik, Can I ask for something?"

"Anything for u."

"Can we take the next step of our relation?" I asked hesitantly.

"We already did. We moved in together." He said clearing my hair locks from my face.

I would never tell him such thing but I guess after I realize Maddy's presence again, mu insecurities about my future kicked in. I don't know if everything will be ok or not but I want to spent my best time with Manik.

"That's not it." I said shaking my head.

"Then what is it?"

"Can u... Can u make.... Love to me?!" I said and closed my eyes tightly.

I know it's absurd but what to do. Only this can calm my mind, my soul who is now caged herself inside of a box, pacing here and there, thinking what will Maddy do this time. In every single sound she is alert and asking,Was it Maddy?
