Lexi's POV

"Lexi, Harry, Colin Creevey's been petrified!" Ron called out. Harry and I ran to the hospital wing to find Colin frozen like Mrs Norris, his camera in his hand like he was taking a picture.

"Poor Colin..." I mumbled, tears springing to my eyes. Why did this happen to a First Year? Colin of all people?

"C'mon, Lex. Let's go back to the Common Room." I nodded and followed as Harry pulled me along, our hand intertwined.

Once we got to the tower, I went straight up to my bed to avoid being social. Suddenly, Harry called out,

"What the hell? Where the hell did it go?" I hopped off my bed and opened the door to the dorms just as Harry was reaching towards the door. I shot a confused but startled look at him, "The diary. Tom's diary. It's gone," My eyes widened as I took in this outrageous information. "I searched everywhere for it." Harry looked beaten down. This diary was our only lead.

"Well, what are we going do, now?" I asked, stumped. Harry shook his head and shrugged his shoulders simultaneously.

"We have a Quidditch Match tomorrow, right?" I remember Oliver mentioning an upcoming game with Slytherin. Harry nodded, a little spark of excitement in his eyes. "We better get a good night's sleep, then,"

"You're starting to sound like Emily!"Harry commented. We both burst out laughing as we walked our separate ways to our dorms.

"Goodnight, Harry!" I called out to him.

"Goodnight, Lexi!" Harry called back.

--the next day--

"Wake up, Lexi! We're going to be late!" Harry shook me awake, violently, as I jumped out of bed. I got dressed in my Quidditch gear and Harry and I ran towards the Great Hall. We ran to the food, grabbed some bread and ran, eating on the way. We ran into Malfoy and, as always, he had some snide comment to make.

"Good luck, Potter, Lexi," Malfoy sniggered. It was only then I noticed that Malfoy had the Slytherin Quidditch gear on. "I got my place on the Quidditch team as Seeker. You're on, Potter."

"Don't worry about it, Harry," I said as we walked the rest of the way to the team. "His father probably paid the Quidditch team to let Malfoy be their Seeker. You got a genuine position on the team," He smiled at me and we walked to grab our brooms.

"Ready, team?" Oliver asked, even though we really didn't have a choice if we weren't ready. We mounted our brooms and flew out in single file. I got in position as they started the game.

"Here!" I called out as the ball was thrown at me. I caught it but my hands didn't quite lock around the ball. A Slytherin Chaser came right at me, slamming me sideways so the ball flew out of my arms.

"Jesus Christ..." I muttered under my breath as I regained my balance. If they can play dirty, so can I.

A different Slytherin Chaser was coming in my direction, so I did what the other Chaser did. I ran right into the Chaser and she let go of the ball. I grabbed it, flying towards the goal. I threw with all my force, and the goal keeper missed it.

"Go Lexi!" The team yelled out. I looked to see Harry having a verbal face-off with Malfoy. Suddenly, a Bludger came flying straight towards Harry.

"Harry! Look out!" He looked up at me as I signalled for him to duck. He did, the ball gliding over his head, narrowly missing Malfoy. Damn it. I wish it took Malfoy's head off.

The Bludger circled around, disappearing from my line of view.

"Lexi! Bludger!" I looked to see a Bludger heading straight towards me. I tried to swerve by broomstick out of the way but the Bludger hit the end of my broom, sending me spiralling towards the ground. "Lexi!" Harry called out as I heard Malfoy snigger. Harry wasn't fast enough and it hit the ground, my head banging hard. My vision went blurry as I tried to sit up. My ribs ached and throbbed, so I'm guessing they're broken. Harry ran forward, grabbing me before I fell down again. He held onto me, grabbing my arm and pulling it so it draped over my shoulder. Hagrid ran forward, followed by Hermione and Ron.
