Lexi's POV
Harry and I have this special connection that expands beyond friendship. I'm just not sure whether he likes me like that. I've been out with the wolf pack (mainly Leah), practicing how to control my phasing. I didn't think it would make a difference since Voldemort's presence kick-started my phasing, but I followed Leah as she guided me into phasing, starting to have more and more control over it.
When I was getting changed one day, I noticed I now have the Quileute tattoo on my right shoulder. Holy crap, I'm now actually a Quileute. I'll need to hide it when I'm at school.
I know Dad has seen the way I look at Harry because he's been trying to get me to say if I have feelings for him. I keep telling him it's not like that, but he knows I'm lying.
A growl spread around outside as a strange scent filled the air. Not quite a vampire, but not quite human either. Dad ran over to me with Harry right behind him, ready to protect us. A girl that looked around 17/18 stepped out and the whole of La Push was silent. I was hiding behind Dad, as he growled and started to shake. The woman saw me poke my head around and smiled at me.
"Lexi? It's me, your mother," I gasped and stepped forward around Dad. He was about to lunge forward when I stopped him, putting a hand against his chest. Dad stopped and calmed down a bit as I ran forward towards my mother.
"Mom!" I yelled as I ran into her arms. She didn't look old enough to be my mother, which is why Harry looked so confused that she was my mom. I told him it's a supernatural thing and he nodded, accepting the fact that he didn't need to know the details. "I got your letter and gift at Christmas. Thank you!" I hugged her tighter. She hugged me back, just as tight.
I looked up at her face and saw she was looking confusedly at Harry. I remembered that she doesn't know who Harry is. "Mom, this is Harry, one of my best friends from school." Harry walked up and smiled, shaking Mum's hand.
"I'm Renesmee, Lexi's mother,"
Dad, Mom, and I all went inside and sat on the couch, while Harry stayed outside with the pack. It was an awkward silence inside until Mom broke it.
"I'm so, so sorry I had to leave," She looked at both Dad and I when she said that. Dad scoffed sarcastically and I elbowed him to shut him up. "I didn't want to, but I had too. People would've noticed that I wasn't ageing...I wish you could forgive me, both of you." I nodded my head vigourously and ran up to Mum and hugged her. Dad shook his head slowly which made me boil with anger.
"Come on, Dad! Why can't you forgive Mum? That's probably one of the main reasons she came here and you can't find it in your heart to forgive her?" I had started crying by then, and ran up the stairs to my room.
Around 5 minutes later, the door opened. I expected it to be one of my parents, but instead it was Harry.
"Don't cry, Lexi. It's okay. Your parents will sort something out. All they want is for you to be happy. That's something they both agree on." He planted a soft kiss on my cheek and I blushed slightly in response. I sat up a embraced Harry in a hug.
"Thanks, Harry. I don't know what I'd do without you."
A/N: I decided to bring Renesmee back into the story. I cast Christie Burke as Renesmee in my story as she is what I think Renesmee would look like (she actually played the older version of Renesmee in Breaking Dawn Part 2). There's a picture of her attached, or you can google her.
