april 25, 2018, titan
Quill went to grab Mantis' arm, but she faded away before he got the change. Everyone jumped.
"What the hell?" Drew jumped back. "Mantis!"
"Quill?" Drax asked, before he too faded away.
"He did it." Nebula announced.
"Ah man." Quill sighed, fading away. It was all happening to fast for anyone to process. Everyone was simply dying and turning to dust.
"No, no, no, no, no." Drew choked out, running to Peter and hugging him. "Please don't die, please don't die." She begged him. She tried to figure out what was happening. Everything had turned to chaos in a matter of seconds. Everyone was talking, and then everyone was fading away.
"Tony." She heard Dr. Strange say. "There was no other way." He turned to dust, blowing away in the faint wind of the planet.
"Strange!" Drew yelled, turning to where he once stood.
"Drew?" Peter asked. Drew turned to him, and saw his hand beginning to fade away. "I don't feel so good."
"No... No, Peter. You're okay! You're okay!" She sobbed, her voice breaking with every word. This was it, her world was imploding.
"I don't... I don't know what's happening. I don't-" He stumbled towards Drew and fell into her arms.
"C'mon, Peter!" She cried harder.
"I don't wanna go, I don't wanna go, Drew, I don't wanna go!" He cried. She laid him on the ground and he grabbed both of her hands. "I love you," He sobbed, before turning to dust an blowing away.
"NO!" Drew screamed. "No! No! No!" She sobbed. "I love you too." She said, even though she knew he couldn't hear her. Drew stood up and turned to Mr. Stark.
"Oh, Drew, not you too." Tony sighed, looking down at her hands, which were fading away. Tony felt his heart shatter. He'd only known Peter for two years, and he was like a son to him. But Drew, he had known her for almost 6 years. He'd helped her through her anxiety, and controlling her powers, and growing up. He was forced to watch Peter die, and now he was forced to help ease Drew into her death.
"I guess this is it." She cried. "Tell Oliver I said thanks and that I love him. And... Thank you, Mr. Stark. For everything." She fell into his arms and he laid on her on the ground just like she had laid Peter on the ground. "I'm sorry," She looked up at him with her large, puppy dog eyes as she closed her eyes, joining Peter, Dr. Strange, and the rest of the Guardians.
