"What?" Quill asked, turning to look at Nebula.
"He took her to Vormir. He came back with the Soul Stone. She didn't." Nebula muttered. Quill turned to Thanos and got in his face.
"Okay, Quill, you gotta cool it. Don't. Don't." Tony exclaimed. "Don't engage! We almost got this off!" He yelled.
"Tell me she's lying! Asshole! Tell me you didn't!" Quill asked through gritted teeth.
"I... Had... To..." Thanos exhaled.
"No, you didn't! You didn't have to!" Quill yelled. Having a strong feeling of what was going to happen, Drew stopped helping Tony and Steve and ran over to Quill.
"Stop!" She tried pulling him back. She grabbed both of his arms and pulled him back as much as she could. Quill turned and hit her, sending her flying backward. She groaned in pain as she hit a nearby rock.
"Drew!" Peter cried. He wanted to run to her, but he knew he had to stay and help Tony get the gauntlet off. "Hang on!"
Quill turned back to Thanos and exhaled angrily before throwing a punch at Thanos.
"No!" Tony yelled, trying to stop him. He repeatedly hit Thanos in the face with his blaster. Tony abandoned helping Peter with the gauntlet and ran to hold Quill back as Thanos began to wake up.
"It's coming, It's coming, I got it, I got it!" Peter exclaimed as the gauntlet slipped and the only thing that it was holding the gauntlet on was his fingertips. Thanos then fully woke up and slammed his head into Mantis, disorienting her. He grabbed the gauntlet back, causing Peter to fly backward. Thanos threw Mantis, and Peter began to swing after her.
"Oh, god, oh god, oh god." He exclaimed, swinging farther away from where Drew was laying, motionless against the rock. He caught Mantis and landed back on the ground with the help of his spiderlegs. Tony continued firing at Thanos, along with Dr. Strange.
Peter reached finally Drew and put a hand on her shoulder.
"Drew? Drew? Come on. Wake up. You gotta move." He exclaimed. When she didn't respond, he put a hand to his ear to where his comm was. "Mr. Stark, she's not waking up!"
"I don't know what to do, I'm a little busy!" Tony yelled.
"Come on, Drew!" Peter exclaimed. With that, her eyes fluttered open.
"Are you okay?" She asked, putting her hand over his, which was still on her shoulder.
"You just flew into a wall and you're asking me if I'm okay?" Peter exclaimed. "Come on, I'm gonna put you behind that rock up there. He won't see you there and you'll be safe."
"I wanna help!" She stood up and wobbled slightly.
"Come on." Peter said sternly, grabbing her and swinging behind the rock. "Stay here, and throw fireballs if you can. I'll be back." Peter swung away.
Thanos put his hand to the sky and began pulling something down. Titan's moon began to break through the atmosphere, pieces of it flying everywhere. The gravity in the planet changed, and everyone began floating. Drew felt it and used her antigravity boots to fly towards Thanos.
"I'm gonna die." She mumbled to herself, running up towards him to where Dr. Strange was trying to fight him.
She engulfed her arms in flames, and her hair began levitating again. Her eyes began to glow brightly as flames began circling her. Peter watched from afar as she willed them all to go towards Thanos, which they did. Drew had finally figured out her true potential, and she was much more powerful than everyone had thought. She began creating large fireballs and throwing them at Thanos, throwing them before he got the chance to use any of the stones on her. Since Drew didn't know how to control the flames circling her, they went away, weakening her. She dropped to her knees, preparing to die. Thanos clenched his fist, about to use one of the stones, when Peter swung in and grabbed Drew without stopping. He swung behind another rock, where he dropped her and kneeled next to her.
"I told you to stay behind the rock!" Peter exclaimed, tapping his mask, making it go away. He looked away from her.
"I needed to help!" She exclaimed, taking off her mask as well.
"You could've died!" His voice broke, and he turned to look at her, revealing that he was crying. Drew leaned forward and kissed him briefly before they heard the sound of clanking metal. They separated and whipped their heads towards the sound. Tony was fighting Thanos alone.
"Mr. Stark!" Drew gasped, standing up to help. Tears ran down her face as she realized her mentor and father figure was in danger.
"Drew, he'll be fine. He's Mr. Stark." He tried reassuring her, standing up next to her. They watched as his nanotech suit began breaking, fading away until his head and hands were exposed. With the last ounce of power in his suit, he created a large dagger and attempted to stab Thanos with it. Thanos snapped it off of the suit and turned it around, stabbing Tony, who stumbled backward until he was sitting on a rock behind him.
"NO!" Drew cried, trying to run and help. Peter grabbed her arms and held her back, and she knew she could've overpowered him due to his enhanced strength. She gave in, turning towards him and hugging him, not wanting to watch anymore.
When Drew was only 11, Tony met with her and watched her intently as she showed him her powers, and he nodded and helped her learn to control them. He had taken the time to get to know her and listened to her when she would talk about Peter. Peter was crying too, but he was silent as his heart broke. After all, Tony was his mentor and had found him only 2 years ago, making Peter the hero he had always dreamed of becoming.
All of those memories flooded through them as they watched their mentor get closer and closer to death.
