                                 The beginning.

I opened the front door to my house to be greeted by a cold breeze that nipped at my arms and my face, thank god my jeans were protecting my legs from the stinging. It was the beginning of April yet the weather here still felt like mid November, like autumn.

I was carrying my last haul of clothes outside to the tour bus that was parked in the street in front of my house and my neighbor's. They probably wouldn't be too happy about it since the bus took up a large amount of the already cramped street. Matt Kean and Jordan were already in the tour bus setting up for the months ahead, like stocking our kitchen and our entertainment supply for when we were on the road, but we still had to pick up the other guys so we could head out. We had to meet Pierce The Veil and All Time Low as soon as we could so we wouldn't screw up the tour schedule before it even started. We had to be at the first venue by tomorrow night where we would be starting off our long tour.

After storing my clothes on the bus, I went and stood in my driveway looking anxiously down my street that was eerily quiet without cars driving by or honking and people walking about with their pets. It was quite early in the morning so I didn't expect a lot of people to be awake yet, especially on a cold dreary Sunday like this. The only thing people would be doing right now is hiding in their blanket cocoons or making hot chocolate.

"Hey Oliver, what are you doing out there? Are you ready to go yet?" Matt yells from the cracked window. He then adds, "We are ready to hit the road when you are." I turn back to the window to see Matt surveying me, then turn my glance back to the street that was motionless with only parked cars. I frowned deeply.

"Hannah was supposed to be here by now. She left last night to clean up her parlor and I don't think she ever came home, if she did she left again. She told me she'd be back to tell me goodbye." I explain with slight anguish in my tone. I heard Matt let out a sigh from beyond the window. He wasn't too fond of Hannah, this wasn't the first time she has done something like this. She had a talent at making me worry. Matt then appeared on the tour bus steps leaning forward to examine the street and saw the same thing I saw. No Hannah.

"Why don't you just call her up?" Matt suggested shrugging, he rubbed his bare arms trying to fight off the cold wind.

Taking Matt's advice; I pulled out my phone from my pocket and was about to dial her number when I heard an approaching car making it's way down the street, obviously not going the speed limit with it's tires making noise against the asphalt. I looked up and saw that Hannah was in the driver's seat of the overly elegant car, her timid eyes met mine for a second before her glance went back to the road searching for a place to park. I shoved my phone back into my pocket and watched her park on the other side of the street across from our tour bus. I heard her opening the door to her car and then she shut it just as fast.

"Oliver!" I heard her yell, she was speedwalking and was coming around the bus to meet me, her boots clacking against the pavement loudly. I turned and watched Matt retreat back into the bus with a solemn expression on his face, he shook his head and with that he was gone. I thought it was weird of him to react like that but I shook it off. Hannah was here now and that was all that matters.

Hannah took fast strides as she came up the driveway to where I was standing, she lunged at me. She wrapped her arms around my torso and I wrapped mine around her waist and held her close to me. Hannah's sweet natural scent captivated me as we embraced.  Hannah's head was rested on my chest and she apologized for being late in a sincere tone multiple times and then I told her that it was fine.
