Elsa pov:
I bid farewell to Merida as I loaded all the groceries into the back seat. Slipping into the driver's seat, I ignited the engine of the ranger and pulled out of the food shop, beginning my journey back home. As I drove, thoughts swirled in my mind.
Just wonderful, as expected, that eccentric Hans refuses to budge. I'll do my best to steer clear of him; I'm really not in the mood to deal with him, ever! Especially if he starts hitting on me again. I could always resort to playing pranks on him, like the ones we used to pull on with Jack. Though the unfortunate part was that we often ended up in trouble. Fortunately, Jack always took the blame to shield me from getting into trouble.
Those were the good old days, when worries were few in our small town. I really miss those times. But the past is behind me now, and I have my children to care for.
After fifteen minutes, I brought in the groceries from the backseat and opened the house door. Once inside, I quickly went to the kitchen to set the food on the table. I then checked on the kids, making sure they were still sleeping soundly in their rooms. Returning to the kitchen, I started cooking breakfast.
No Pov
After completing breakfast, Elsa spotted her daughter, Winter, entering the kitchen with tousled hair. Unable to contain her amusement, Elsa chuckled at Winter's unkempt appearance. Winter gave her mother a perplexed look before rushing to the bathroom to check her reflection. Upon reaching the mirror, she gasped and emitted a small scream. Elsa couldn't help but laugh at her daughter's reaction. Winter groaned in frustration and reached for her hairbrush.
Passing by the bathroom, Elsa proceeded into Jamie's room. Upon entering, she could hear the soft, adorable snores emanating from her son's bed. She attempted to rouse him with a gentle shake, but he only responded with quiet groans, still lost in sleepJust as Elsa was about to devise a plan to wake him up...
She slipped her arm beneath the blanket covering her son, embracing him tightly and planting kisses all over his face. Jamie met his mother's gaze and burst into laughter. "Mommy, why all the kisses and cuddles when I still want to sleep?"
Elsa chuckled affectionately. "Because I love you so much, darling, always. Even when you're all grown up and I'm making breakfast."
At the mention of breakfast, Jamie eagerly extricated himself from his mother's warm embrace and dashed into the kitchen, drawn by the aroma of sizzling bacon and eggs. Seated at the table, he waited eagerly for his mother to serve him. Elsa entered the kitchen to find her son eagerly waiting, his excitement palpable. She couldn't help but giggle at his reaction to the word "breakfast."
Placing the plate in front of him, Elsa watched as Jamie dove into his meal with the fervor of someone who hadn't eaten in ages. She understood, knowing sandwiches had been his main sustenance for a while.
Winter entered the kitchen, her hair now pulled back into a ponytail. Taking her seat at the table, she received her breakfast from Elsa. With their plates cleared, Elsa and her children gathered around the table. After breakfast, they promptly washed, dried, and stowed away their dishes.
Jamie and Winter retreated to their bedrooms to dress for the day.
Then, unexpectedly, the doorbell chimed.
Elsa hurried to the front door and swung it open to see who was outside.
