...What?

"Phichit, you don't think Yuuri will be upset by this, do you?" Viktor asked, putting on his shoes and covering himself with his coat. Viktor was still in Phichit's house, just about to leave. The two... weren't okay. They were stressing out over the fact that Yuuri's Fiance just had a makeout session his best friend. They didn't mean it in a romantic way whatsoever, but as a teaching lesson for Viktor. But the more Viktor and Phichit thought about it, the more unrealistic the whole idea seemed. They didn't want to lie to Yuuri, but they didn't want to hurt him either. "If he learns the truth, I'm sure he'll be hurt..."

"For now, please keep it a secret."

"We didn't mean to hurt Yuuri by this, right?" Viktor asked, sweat dropping from his cheek. Phichit knew. He didn't want Yuuri or Viktor to be hurt by this. They... were meant to be. "Of course, we didn't, Viktor. You don't need to panic. All you wanted was to be a better kisser and nothing more with me."

"Mm." Viktor nodded, his head down. His heart was heavy.

Phichit smiled to reassure the Russian. Although inside, he realized the mistake that the two wouldnt be able to live with themselves without the guilt of feeling like they disappointed and disrespected Yuuri. Soon he would find out the truth. With Viktor feeling unwell and Phichit unsure of what he should think in this situation, there seemed to be no solution to end their guilt.

The two parted ways. They never spoke about it to each other or to Yuuri. A week passed. Then a month. Phichit and Viktor tried to push the thought out of their head.

They couldn't help but feel so guilty.

...

"Viktor."

Yuuri felt a change in his relationship with Viktor. Viktor was colder; more distant after his trip to Phichit's hometown. It hard to ask of Viktor because of the look in Viktor's eyes when Yuuri brought it up. It clearly was uncomfortable for Viktor.

"You've been weird ever since visiting Phichit. What's going on?"

As usual, Viktor's eyes looked down to the ground. But this time, Yuuri couldn't stand down. He needed to understand why Viktor was being so distant. It was frustrating enough to be distanced, but to not know why was even worse.

"I feel like you've been distancing me ever since you visited Phichit. Is there something on your mind? Because... it's really bothering me..."

Yuuri was driving home after shopping for groceries with Viktor. There was tension due to Viktor's silence, but that wouldn't stop Yuuri.

"Are you... distancing me? On purpose?"

Viktor knew it would come to this at some point. He felt too guilty about it. It was hard to be affectionate with the thought of his lips kissing another person passionately.

"..Yuri, I was. If I tell you why, would you be upset?"

"..Depends on what you did."

Viktor felt his face redden. It was too shameful. He had waited for too long to explain to him. Parting his lips, he looked for words to put together to provide an explanation. He couldn't say anything.

"..If you can't say anything then fine. Just know that you don't explain why you're acting like that, you're making me think of the absolute worst."

Yuuri was just about to lose his temper. He had already jumped to conclusions to provide himself answers as to why he was acting in such a dismissive manner. He wanted to comfort himself of the fact that he had changed. But without the real answer, he had no choice but to jump to conclusions because there was no way he could trust Viktor's sudden distant attitude.

"Yuuri, I-- I don't know how to tell you this.." Viktor felt his mouth become dry. The heart in his chest was beating quickly in the utterly silence.

"I made out with Phichit."

Yuuri furrowed his eyebrows and let out a frustrated yet relieved sigh. "That's what you did, huh?" Yuuri spoke, "...Why?"

"I wanted to be better... You know how my kisses are... weird and unromantic. When I visited Phichit, he made fun of me and offered to teach me how to be better. It wasn't romantic in any way. I just wanted to learn to impress you but afterwards I felt too guilty to do anything romantic."

Yuuri gave him a dumbfounded look. "..Why couldn't you tell me you were insecure about the way you kissed? You wouldn't have had the whole thing happen."

"I was ashamed already by the fact I couldn't kiss right despite my title being known as the literal sex appeal."

Yuuri snorted. And laughed. "Your masculinity was threatened because you couldn't kiss? Viktor, you don't have to feel like you need to be better at it. You're good the way you are."

"But--"

Yuri raised an eyebrow.
