Taehyung's PoV;
"Come in." I shouted in response to the knock on the door, Jeongguk's arm preventing me from moving as the muscular, warm hold snuggled me into his side as he slept.
Thinking it was simply a nurse coming to check his vitals, it's safe to say that I was most definitely confused when a middle-aged man pointed a gun at me.
"Uh?" I spaced out, jaw dropped as I stared into the barrel.
"Get your hands off of him before I rip them off for you." He growled, hands shaking as he held the gun.
I held my hands up in the air in surrender, still extremely confused. I was that puzzled that fear hadn't even begun to sit in yet, and I had a gun aimed at my head.
"Boss, Boss!" Another man ran in, swatting at his arm, "that's Taehyung!"
'Boss' lowered his arms, gun held loosely between his fingers.
"Uh, nice to meet you?" I said, my tone making it sound more like a question rather than a statement.
"Oh my! I have been waiting weeks on end to meet you!" His face suddenly changed, now cheery and jolly, "you are pretty, Jeongguk was right."
"To be fair, we did sit through hours of his gushing." The redhead said, sticking his hand out towards me, "I'm JinJin. I run the drugs and weapons side of this organisation."
"Lovely to meet you, I'm Taehyung. Jeongguk's boyfriend, er, I assume you already know?"
"Yes, yes. We were the ones who helped you two meet, you know, assassin shit." Boss smiled, "I'm Jeongguk's Boss, I'm in charge of him and the assassination side of it. Your boyfriend is an extremely brave man, taking a bullet for someone takes courage."
"He's lovely, isn't he?" I smiled in pride, Jeongguk's head on my lap, "speaking of which, shall I wake him up?"
"Yes, please. There's someone we want him to meet." Boss said.

After five minutes of shaking and prodding, Jeongguk had finally woken up and was currently sat dozily, hands holding a cup of shitty hospital tea.
"Afternoon, Boss. JinJin." He murmured sleepily.
"Good afternoon, how are you doing?" JinJin asked.
"Well, besides the hole in my shoulder and the agonising pain pulsing throughout my body, I'm not bad." He replied sarcastically.
"I'll make sure to inform Rocky and the others. I'll catch you next time you're doing runs." JinJin bowed his head slightly before departing.
"Okay, before you yell at me, can I just say that this wasn't my fault?" Jeongguk spoke before Boss could, "Jong-in pissed them off, I tried to diffuse the situation."
"He's already explained it all. Thank you for taking him under your wing, I know he's a pain. He's trying, I've seen him training many nights a week." Boss said, recrossing his legs as he sat, "he looks up to you, and I appreciate the difficulty with the situation so thank you so much. I put him with you until I found a place for him to stay on a night because I knew he'd be safe with you. I know you try and appear heartless, but we all know you aren't."
"Hey-"
"Jeongguk, I saw you picking up that box of stray kittens and taking them to a shelter despite your fractured wrist. And you hate cats."
Jeongguk rolled his eyes, and I'm sure he would've crossed his arms had it not been for the wound on his shoulder.
"That's not the point. They were freezing and hungry." He whined, "I just did what I had to do. How could I let him get shot? His life is already shit as it is, an orphan and a prostitute who has no family nor friends."
"He's extremely appreciative of the action." Boss nodded, "but, I have something to tell you."
"Uh huh?"
"Well, actually someone to show you."
"Go right ahead." Jeongguk said.
Boss yelled 'Kim', making me wonder if he was talking to me or someone else, jolting in my seat regardless and holding back the urge to salute and go 'yes sir!'
A boy entered, messy white hair and a large navy sweater enveloping his figure.
His cheeks flushed in shyness as he looked at Jeongguk, "it-it's a pleasure!"
Jeongguk nodded and smiled awkwardly, clearly having no idea of who the kid was.
"This is my son, Woosung. I mentioned him a few meetings back, his mother took him to China and I lost all traces of him?"
"Ah!" Jeongguk clicked, "yes, of course. How did you find him?"
"Uh, he found you. He saw you whilst in Hong Kong and he knew you lived in Korea from the last time he met you, so he ran away from his mother. He asked around many people, eventually bumping into JinJin who immediately brought him to the headquarters." Boss said happily, practically glowing from the smile that was about as wide as a mile.
"I-I got your letter." Woosung stuttered, "obviously, I know you can't train me in your state. B-but, I'd still be up for it."
"It'd be an honour, Woosung. You sure have grown since the last time I saw you, God, you must be eighteen now?"
"I'm twenty-five." Woosung smiled.
"What?!" Jeongguk said in shock, "but you looked so young!"
"He's a shortie, ain't ya kid?" Boss slapped him on the shoulder, sending the boy forward a few steps and closer to Jeongguk.
"Why is everyone older than me?" Jeongguk frowned, "but, hey, I'd definitely be up for it. I'll tell Boss when I'm free, then me and you can have a little Taekwondo session."
It was lovely to see the interaction between Jeongguk and Woosung, someone who clearly looked up to Jeongguk - judging by the way his hands clasped and his eyes practically sparkled as he begged him to tell him more stories.
The look on his face was beautiful as Jeongguk told him how he took a bullet for Jong-in, and even I was impressed.
"Anyway, Woosung, this is Taehyung. He's my soulmate, ain't he a stunner?" Jeongguk said proudly, arm wrapped securely around my waist.
"Y-you are pretty. It's nice to meet you, Dad talked about you quite a bit."
I blushed at the sincere compliment, shaking his hand, amazed at how he looked younger than me.
"Sorry to cut you off, but we'll have to get going. Business and that, can't leave headquarters unoccupied." Boss announced, standing up and slugging on his blazer.
"Well, it was lovely to meet you Woosung. It's been worth the wait and search." Jeongguk smiled, hugging Woosung the best he could.
I hugged him as well, wishing the two a safe journey back to headquarters.
"Do us a favour, Boss." Jeongguk grinned.
"No."
"Uh, please?" Jeongguk said, "smack Jong-in around the back of his head."
"Why?" Boss laughed.
"He didn't bring me chocolate." Jeongguk replied, "and after taking a bullet for the prick, I think that's the least I deserve."
"I'll make sure some chocolate is delivered to your room. Rest well, kid. I'll see you when you get better. For now, no fighting!"
