마흔 여덟
Taehyung's PoV;
"Holy fuck, I'm so tired." One of the edgy kids yawned as we waited for the teacher, everyone (who was on time) sitting at their tables, pulling out sketchbooks, pencils and pens.
"That party was wild though." The other laughed.
"You smoked one cigarette and had a sip of vodka, that's not wild." Someone tutted, an artistic girl from another table, passing by their table whilst collecting paint.
The trio began to converse as more students began to flood in, many joining the conversation and discussing what happened at the party that was thrown to celebrate the start of summer.
I personally couldn't relate.
Neither me, nor my friends had ever been invited to one of these 'amazing' parties. I'd never had the experience of dancing drunkenly at someone's house, moving to the music in the decorated garden.
Their conversation became white noise as I watched the last student walk in.
Fucking hell.
Jesus, he looked so good.
I was practically drooling as Jeongguk stepped over, angry over something that I hadn't bothered to ask as it hadn't crossed my mind in this moment.
I ignored the hot pink hair that he'd styled and parted, exposing a slither of his forehead.
My eyes immediately trailed down to the slim-fitting, grey sweatpants that didn't leave much to the imagination. I just thanked the lords that he was wearing underwear, or this may have been an extremely awkward art lesson.
He'd clearly just been in dance, judging by the way his white t-shirt stuck to his chest and his neck glistened with a glittering sheen of sweat.
He panted gently, a happy smile replacing his disgruntled frown as his eyes met mine, waving as he bounded over.
"Hey, petal!" He greeted, "I didn't know you were in school today."
"W-why wouldn't I be?" I stuttered, glad that Jeongguk was preoccupied in attempting to open his book, too busy to notice that I had to literally rip my eyes from his body, holding back an urge and choosing to run my tongue across my lip before biting it slightly.
"Literature trip. Taemin wasn't in dance but he told me in advance that you wouldn't be here. I was gonna skip, but I wanted to talk to Miss." He replied, finally opening the book, which proved to be a struggle as a result of his bandaged fingers (he'd fractured two after a dancing accident two days ago, where Jimin stupidly sprained his ankle and Hoseok bust his nose. That trip to the hospital was fun, considering that Jeongguk was driving with one hand the entire time).
"Oh."
"Yeah, it's a shame because I picked up some shifts at Min's. I thought I'd be bored, considering that you'd be in Hong Kong for a week."
"I'm supposed to be in China?!" I exclaimed in surprise.
"Uh, yeah?"
"Fuck." I groaned, "I think I missed the meeting for the trip."
Jeongguk simply shrugged in response, as he knew next to nothing about the trip and only knew about it because he needed someone to cover Taemin's position in the dance.
"I really wanted to go." I sighed, pouting slightly.
"We should go together." He replied casually, "if we went, it wouldn't be an educational thing. It could be like a week-long date or something."
