"Happy birthday handsome," I handed Hunter an envelope and a gift bag, kissing his cheek, "I can't wait to celebrate later." He smiled, and opened the envelope.

To my dearest Hunter,
Wishing you all the best on your special day & every day. You are an amazing husband, father and friend. I love you to the moon and back,
Jenna

His eyes met mine with a smile and he turned to the gift bag. He withdrew a card the kids made along with a cologne and watch. "Thank you babe," he kissed my cheek, "today is gonna be a great day."

I smiled and handed him another gift bag I had hidden in the closet. "Open this one discreetly." I said quietly, looking over my shoulder knowing the kids were just in the next room. He smirked, and shuffled through the tissue paper to reveal a black lace corset and a folded piece of paper. He opened it, his eyes scanning the hand written note.

"Is this for..." he started quietly.

"Tonight," I interjected, kissed his lips, "just you and me."

"Thank you Jen." He winked and gave me a kiss. He took his gifts upstairs before thanking the kids. We had time for dinner before heading out to the release party.

"Grandma and Grandpa are going to take you guys tonight for a sleepover at their house." Hunter said over dinner, "Mom and I are going to be late at the work party." Hunter wanted the kids to come, Lynette and Leo offered to take them for the night, which meant Hunter and I could have the whole house to ourselves with no interruptions and night off from the responsibility.

"Hunter can you zip this?" I turned my back toward him and he slid the zipper up. Holding my hand he turned me around, his blue eyes were sparkling. I opted for my favourite lace dress and gold flats and Hunter looked dashing in his black button up shirt and black jeans.
"Mom you look so pretty." Sutton said, poking her head in our room; the boys were peeking behind her.
"Aw, thanks Sutton. You all look amazing." I put on some lipstick and we got the kids downstairs just as Lynnette and Leo came. They were taking the suburban for the night, Hunter and I were going to take a cab back home.

"Ah, this looks amazing," I pushed the doors open to see balloons, the tables and chairs in part of the space were cleared for a dance floor and I could smell some good food being cooked up, "what do you think Hunt?" I turned to face him, he had a huge grin plastered on his face.

"It's great." His eyes were beaming, "This was a brilliant idea." We found Alexis helping the DJ set up, "Hey Alexis."

"Hey I'm glad y'all are here." She stood up to greet us and gave us a quick rundown of the hors d'oeuvres menu, the music track list and guest list of who rsvp'ed.

"Perfect. This is going to be awesome." I kissed Hunter's cheek. The evening events began and management from Atlantic, producing and writing friends, the band and close friends joined us to celebrate Hunter's seventh album.

Hunter started the night with a speech. "Thank you all for being here this evening. This album didn't come easy at first. To say my life has changed over the past ten years is an understatement. From meeting Jenna," he paused, his eyes glimmering, "to marrying her and growing our family, there has been a lot to celebrate. This album wouldn't be possible without that inspiration. To my band who always stuck by me and my management for accepting my crazy left-field ideas, I appreciate you all. Now, I want to open up the dance floor and let's have a good evening." He raised his glass, "Cheers!"

The music started, Hunter and I danced together and with the kids. It was nearing nine thirty when Leo and Lynette flagged us down to take them home. Between the pictures, dancing, food, whiskey and wine, I lost all track of time. The party began to wind down and the parking lot outside was scattered with cabs and Ubers. Hunter laced his fingers into mine and we hailed one of the cabs back to the house. Hunter grabbed a glass from the cabinet and the time on the stove read 2:43am.

"Does this make us party animals?" I laughed, sitting at the barstool taking off my shoes.

"Totally," he handed me a Tylenol and the rest of what was left in his glass of water, "thank you for coming tonight. It was great." He smiled.

I took the Tylenol and washed it down with some water before Hunter grasped my hand. "Bed? I kind wanna see that gift on you.." his voice wandered off as he pulled my body into his.

"I've already got it on." I whispered in his ear, running my hands through his hair, I kissed his cheek and he let out a sigh. He lead me over to the living room and I began to unbutton his shirt, his hands explored my body in search of the zipper.

He got me out of my dress, our clothes laid beside in a pile on the floor as we felt each other up, getting more excited with each breath. "Where do you want me?" I asked between kisses.

"Right where you are," he whispered, kissing my neck, "you're so beautiful." He braced his arms, grinding his hips up against mine. I slid his underwear off and he entered me slowly, teasing me.

"You feel so good," I kissed his neck and collar bone, "I love you." He relaxed and we maneuvered so I got on top, his hands grasped my hips, rocking me back and forth. We finished simultaneously, I climbed off of him and laid beside him. I kissed him, "This is what we needed, just a night - you and me."

He smiled, "You're right." He kissed me before handing me my underwear and sliding his boxers on. "Ready for bed?" I nodded as we picked up the pile of clothes and ventured upstairs.

Hunter and I pulled back the duvet and he got me out of the corset, "Shower in the morning?" I asked as he handed me a tee shirt.

"Sounds good to me. I love you Jenna."

"Perfect. I love you too sweetheart."
