He sat on a throne he made himself, the Infinity Gauntlet in his hand. He was contemplating. Suddenly, he heard a noise. He scowled. "In all my years of living," said Thanos, "many have snuck behind my back to try and kill me. And they all failed. What makes you think your method of attack will work, Mephisto!?!?!?" He stood from his throne, and turned around. Behind him was a middle aged man, around 6'5, he wore a black suit. This was The Devil himself, Mephisto!

"Why Thanos," he taunted, "why would I attempt to kill you?" He puffed his cigarette

"Why Thanos," he taunted, "why would I attempt to kill you?" He puffed his cigarette. "Let us walk," offered Mephisto. Thanos decided to humor The Devil, and walked with him. "There's no denying it," praised Mephisto, "You are supreme. Anything you wish to be, you are. Anything you wish, is. Nothing in this universe dares claims that challenge. There is only one word that can describe you... God..." Mephisto then bowed before Thanos. "Within your grasp rests the infinite," he continued, "my humble personage bows before your grandeur... I am proud to be your first acolyte and bask in the glory of your divine presence... How may I serve you, Great Thanos?"

The Titan glared at Mephisto and said, "By falling silent, Mephisto..." He then looked at his gauntlet. "They're coming," warned Mephisto. Thanos scoffed and asked, "Earth's Mightiest Heroes? Don't make me laugh! How foolish are they, to attempt to stop me again?"

"Well you did take away the ones they cared about," pointed Mephisto, "not that I'm complaining. In fact, I'm thriving on all this misery, it's delicious."

"A small price to pay in order to bring balance to the galaxy, as everything should be," replied Thanos. "What amuses me is that Uatu is violating the code his brothers made, and bringing other beings, including Nebula, to fight you," chuckled Mephisto. "Pride is considered one of the deadliest sins," pointed Thanos, then he chuckled, "but I do find it amusing that these so-called heroes think they have a fighting chance against me."

"How about we humor them?" Mephisto offered, "I'll give you my minions to fight these Avengers." Thanos smiled and said, "Very well, so be it. They can try all they want, but they will all dance with Death eventually... For I am inevitable!"
