The Lost Kingdom (Klance story)

Prologue thing

"Father you can't do this! They'll kill you! Don't you understand?! They're going to-"
"ENOUGH! Allura I know this is hard, but you must leave."
"I'M NOT LEAVING YOU! I already lost mom... I can't leave!"
"You can't worry about that right now. This gives our race a chance to live! You're not going alone. Coran and a handful of survivors are going to the earthland with you. Please don't be afraid."

Alfor brushed a strand of his daughter's hair behind her ear.
"You have to be brave. Stay strong." Allura hugged her father tightly and sobbed.
"I'll try father."
"Be brave my princess..."

Coran came running into the room, three others following him.
"My Lord." Coran bowed as the others followed his example.
"Where are the other survivors?" Alfor quickly scanned them over.
"We ran into some trouble... they're all dead..."

Allura clasped a hand over her mouth to quiet her sobs. Keith, her childhood friend and one of the survivors, ran over to comfort her.
"They're all dead... everyone is... dead..." Allura sobbed into Keith's chest as he winced slightly.
"You're hurt..."
"I'm fine it's just a scratch!" Keith smiled reassuringly.

Normally Keith is extremely antisocial, but Allura is an exception. Ever since his parents deaths he has only ever let three people into his life. Allura his best friend. Shiro the man who saved him and raised him. He was like a brother, father, and friend if that made any sense. Then there was Adam. Keith was hesitant at first, but Shiro really seemed to love him, so Keith got used to him.

"You're leg is bleeding..." Allura's voice broke Keith out of his thoughts.
"I'll be fine."
"Your wings are..."
"Allura, seriously I'm fine." Keith placed his forehead against hers, a common show of affection among the Alteans. Allura sniffled and wiped her eyes.

"THEY'RE IN HERE!" A voice called somewhere outside the door.
"Everyone get into the pod!" Alfor ordered and everyone quickly obliged.

Everyone stood anxiously as the pounding and screaming on the other side of the door grew louder. Several gunshots and agonizing cries could be heard echoing down the hallway.

The pod door slid closed as Alfor stood on the other side, sword drawn. The door finally flew open and the galra soliders rushed in.
"Get in the cryo pods!" Coran called as their pod began to take off. Allura ran to the glass and watched as a soldier cut her father's arm off.
"NOOOOOO! NO NO NOOOO! FATHER!" Her screams echoed as her voice cracked. She collapsed into a sobbing mound on the floor.

"HURRY!" Coran pulled Allura into one.
"NOOOOOO! FATHER YOU CAN'T DIE I HAVE TO SEE YOU AGAIN SOMEDAY! YOU CAN'T DIE! PLEASE NOOO!" The cyro Pod door closed as her screams and cries died down. She was asleep.

Coran climbed into one and so did Adam. Shiro was trying to help Keith into one when suddenly the pod jolted, sending them flying to the other side.
"Shiro!" The walls started indenting as the pod neared earth.
"Get into a pod!" Keith stumbled and reached out to a pod before falling. He cried out in pain as an object flew by and crushed his leg. Another creating a gash across the teens chest.

The pod exploded, sending the two avian beings flying into space. The cryo pods flew out along with them. Keith opened up his wings in attempt to steady his fall, growing closer to the ground.

He screamed as he fell onto the earth. Body broken, bloody, and bruised. He opened his eyes slightly. No one was there.
"... Shiro..." then he closed his eyes, expecting death.

Hi! So a bit of an explanation. The alteans are avians in this so they'll be refered to as either of those. Their wings are the color of their hair. Inside the escape pod are cryo pods where they were supposed to wait out the landing, but the pod wasn't prepared correctly and exploded. Everyone landed in different areas. Lance and Hunk are sixteen. Pidge is fourteen. Keith is seventeen. Allura is eighteen. Veronica is nineteen and the twins are seven. Space dads Shiro and Adam are twentyeight.

I hope this is a good story because I'm continuing it along with my other fanfiction stories. I'll take requests, questions, and comments all the time and I always read them even if I don't respond cuz I'm pretty bad at being social even if it is just online.
