Connor's POV
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Come on, let's go." Natasha told me nudging my shoulders. We were going to a party and her ex was gonna be there. He apparently cheated on her and they broke up on the spot he was caught by Natasha and now she just wants to get revenge or something and I'm just her sidekick right now.
As much as I don't feel very good about doing this, I must remember that she has helped me before. I would take this as a form of repayment I guess...
We went to the party and the moment we went through the front door, Natasha hooked herself onto my arm and walked straight inside.
"Look Connor, that way. That's him. Bryan. And that was the bitch I caught him in bed with." She whispered into my ear. I looked over at the direction her eyes were looking at. Bryan had blonde hair and the girl beside him clung onto him for dear life.
Clingy much.
She was a brunette, I think. Under the terrible lighting here, nothing can be seen clearly. Natasha tugged me towards them just to show him that I existed I guess.
"Hey Bryan." Natasha spoke bravely, not a tint of fear in her voice. Bryan, seemingly alarmed by her appearance turned around and looked at us. I caught a glimpse of the girl beside him. She looked way too young, might be around 17 or so.
"OHMYGAWD CONNOR FRANTA?! ARE YOU REALLY CONNOR FRANTA?! OH GOD. I AM ONE OF YOUR BIGGEST FANS! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!! WE NEED TO TAKE A PICTURE." She literally screamed out loud. Whoa, okay. I was not expecting this.
"Oh, so your name's Connor, nice to meet you." Bryan looked at me with curious eyes.
"Bryan, this is Connor which you already know. He's my new boyfriend. And what about her? Who's this girl?" Natasha questioned, motioning to the girl on his arm.
"Oh her? She's Brianna, my new uhm, girlfriend. Natasha, could we stand aside for a second, I have things to say to you a-"
"No, no I can't. Connor come on, let's go over and get a drink." She said, glaring at Brianna. We walked away from them to the bar. The moment we were out of their sight, Natasha dragged me outside.
"Wait, so that was it?" I asked her. She nodded her head and let go of me.
"Yes, yes it is. Now he will bother me non stop and I won't forgive him ever again." She told me while we walked down the street together.
"COME ON CONNOR, LET'S SNEAK INTO THAT APPLE TREE FARM WE USED TO GO TO ALL THE DAMN TIME WHEN WE WERE YOUNGER! IT'S LITERALLY RIGHT DOWN THE STREET!" Natasha exclaimed like a 5 year old kid while jumping up and down.
I looked straight up ahead and sure enough, it was a small apple tree orchard where many of my memories were formed. We ran straight up to the apple tree farm and sure enough, that hole at the bottom of the fence was never patched up. I let Natasha crawl through it first before going in after her.
"Race you there!" Natasha shouted to me before running in the direction of the tallest tree in the orchard. I dashed straight towards the tree and AHA I WON. I didn't use to run marathons for nothing ya know.
I climbed up the tree and Natasha sat beside me on the branch I was sitting on. I grabbed an apple from the tree we were currently sitting on.
"Hey... uhm, Connor?" Natasha spoke while looking down below and swinging her legs.
"Mm?" I looked at her, knowing she was about to say something.
"I've actually liked you for a while now but I never told yyou, I'm scared to ruin our friendship. And I know you don't like me back but could you at least let me try? I will make you happy and please just give me a chance. I-"
"I can't Natasha, I just can't. Give me a couple of months for me to sort out my feelings, and maybe, just maybe, I could accept you. But for now just let me get used to things. I just got out of a relationship and I want to remain friends with you." I explained to her.
We sat in silence for the rest of the night.
My phone beeped and it was a text from Jo
congrats on that new relationship, i hope you last longer than us with her.
I know Jo is still hurt by me, but I'd rather end it fast. Even though we're not together anymore she will always have a special place in my heart.
Jo's POV
After I sent that text, I realized that it was real, we were over. I need to get over him. As much as I still loved him, he didn't return it back to me. So I needed to let him go, to make him happy, right?
If you love a flower, don't pick it up. Because if you pick it up, it dies and it ceases to be what you love. So if you love a flower, let it be. Love is not about possession. Love is about appreciation. -Osho
