Chapter Four: I Trust You

"dude, you can not be that close to telling the secret" Nash stated hitting me across my chest.

"damn okay" I rubbed my chest.

"did you call Matt and the Jacks?" I asked Carter.

"yeah but the Jacks said they were busy" he explained while looking through the flipping through the pages of the contact book.

"found him!"

I paced around the room.

I feel safe... But then I don't.

I have to have more confidence, Hayes seems like a nice person but he's a complete stranger.

I don't know what I was thinking to come with a stranger, he could have killed me.

But he didn't.

"Hi!" a little girl said walking in

"hello" I smiled

"you're Mari? right?"

"yes what's your name?"

"Skylynn, Nash and Hayes' little sister"

"awww you're so cute, how old are you?"

"I know and I'm nine" she smiled, and sat on the bed.

"I have a brother your age"

"really? is he cute?"

I laughed "you're a little young to be thinking about boys"

"Hayes said the same thing to me yesterday" she giggled.

"oh really?"

"yeah"

"so did my older brother, just make sure when you're a little older listen to your brothers, okay?"

"okay."

"I see you've met Skylynn" Hayes said standing at the door.

"yeah she's adorable"

"ha! she's evil"

"shut up Hayes!"

"get out Sky, I have to talk to Mari alone" she got up.

"ooh someone's got a crush" she teased.

"shut up Skylynn" He closed the door.

"I love her" I smiled.

"she's irritating" He shook his head

"I'm pretty sure Nash could say the same about you" I smirked.

"yeah,yeah, yeah-- on another note, where does your family live?"

"in Los Angeles..."

"we have some friends Los Angeles, that will keep your family safe"

"he's after my family now?" I hyperventilated again.

"hey" he put his hand on my thigh. I looked into his eyes. "you have to trust us"

I don't know, it seems all too fast... I met him yesterday.

But I'll take this risk... I'll have full confidence.

I smiled faintly, and planted a kiss on his cheek. His face turned bright red.

He cleared his throat "so do you trust us" he spoke

I put my hand on top of his, then intertwined our fingers

"I trust you"
