Hayes walked pass me.

"Hayes are you still mad?" He turned around and looked at me, then began walking in the other direction down the stairs.

I shook my head and follows Hayes in the living room "Hayes talk to me, you know I hate when you don't talk to me" I ran my hands through his hair.

He sat on the sofa, so straddled him. I interwined our fingers.

"Mari, you know I want the best for you right?" he finally spoke

I looked into his eyes "Yes... what's wrong?"

"I need you to stay away from Austin"

"Uhh--"

"Just stay away from him okay? He's not safe" he whispered, with obvious anger.

"Okay Hayes! Its not like I was having sex with him, he was just helping me was the dishes!" She yelled, getting off of me.

"You might as well been, since you two were so close in the kitchen!"

"Really Hayes really?! This is what you're mad about?!" She rolled her eyes "I thought you heard what he said about you..." She trailed off.

"What did he say?" I stood up.

"He said you're an ass hole that is in not right place to be a Beta" She rolled her eyes.

"And you didn't defend me?"

What is wrong with me?

"Hayes?!"

"I defend and protect you every time some one says--"

"Shut up Hayes!" She screamed.

I close my mouth mid sentence.

"I definitely defended you! I told him that's not true, and that he is the ass real ass hole. And if any one is in the right state to be a Beta it is you"

I get mad over the dumbest things...

My expression soften, I tried to grab her hand "Mari I--"

"Don't touch me Hayes" She started to walk off.

Now she is mad at me, over my overprotective personality.

"Mari wait" I grabbed her wrist and spun her into my chest. "I'm sorry I just got a little territorial."

We were just there staring in each others eyes. "Let. Me. Go" She said calmly. I could feel her body tensing up.

I let her go and she walked up the stairs.

"Waddup!" Matt said coming in the house.

"Hey Matt" I sighed.

"Hey Hayes" The other boys said eventually coming in the house.

"Where's Marianna?" Cameron asked.

"Upstairs"

"Upstairs? Why-- Hayes what did you do?" Cam shook his head.

"Nothing I just got a little over protective of her and she took it out of context, from when Austin said something.... So you know how that goes" I summarized, not making any sense.

"Why Hayes.... Why?" Carter shook his head also.

"Why do you guys keep shaking your heads at me?" They glared.
