Harry's P.O.V.

I got startled awake by the loud sound of crackling thunder. I shot up in the bed, the first thing I noticed being the emptiness of the bed next to me. I looked around the room, not finding Melina and falling back into bed, pulling the covers up to my nose, waiting for her to return as I guessed she would be in the bathroom. Lightning seeped through the curtains, shortly followed by another loud booming and I buried my face under the warm sheets, the sound of rain violently ticking against the windows now invading my eardrums. I realised Melina wasn't coming back anytime soon, so I closed my eyes and tried to fall back asleep, but at the third thunder I had heard since I woke up, I gave up and untangled my body from the quilt that kept me warm all night. I threw on some grey sweatpants and a blue long sleeved shirt before I strutted to the hallway. I rubbed my eyes and closed the door behind me, sleepily looking up to notice Giorgio silently leaving his room as well

"Had a good start of the new year, I heard" I told him, a bewildered expression in his face as he looked up at me

"Yeah, well, Melina didn't really like it" the protective brother stated, causing me to softly chuckle at the memory of an exhausted Melina throwing a shoe at the wall

"Doesn't really matter, now, does it?" I snickered "At least you got a head start"

Giorgio raised his eyebrows, making a sideway nod, agreeing with what I said

"Do you know where Melina is?" I asked, awkwardly scratching the back of my neck as I did not know the reaction to come

"She's probably in the library" Giorgio answered, peeking at the window as bright lightning filled the room

"You have a library?" I asked right before the thunder kicked in

"Yes, in the attic" Giorgio said, leading the way through the hallway "Melina loves to sit there to watch the storm"

He stopped at the end of the hallway, pulling a cord that was attached to the ceiling to reveal a ladder that led to the house's attic

"You'll find her there" Giorgio motioned upwards and I wrapped my hand around the wooden stairs, checking wether they were steady

"Thanks, man" I send him a grateful smile and silently ascended the stairs. My head emerged from the wooden floor of the library and my mouth fell open at the sight. The cream coloured walls were held up by dark wooden beams, which matched the bookshelves that held tons of old and new books neatly stacked next to each other. Recently read books were scattered around the floor, several stacks stood next to the shelves for they didn't fit anymore. Finally, my eyes fell on Melina; she was seated in the broad windowsill, dark red pillows tucked under her bottom and back. Her gaze was fully trained on the thick raindrops falling from the dark sky, hitting the houses and the street, and in the far background they became one with the sea. My white shirt covered her bυm as she sat there, long tan legs on full display, her right ankle decorated by a silver anklet with turquoise beads.

I pushed myself up into the dusty attic, slowly making my way towards the beautiful girl sitting in the windowsill

"Morning" I muttered in her ear as I wrapped my arms around her

"Morning" Melina replied softly, a smile etched on her skin as she kept her gaze trained on the raindrops falling from the scary sky. She scooted forward, freeing space for me which I gladly made use of as I sat down, pulling her petite frame closer to me while she sat between my legs

"I thought you didn't like rain" I said, taking in the sweet scent of her hair

"I don't" Melina's reply was, lightning striking in, shortly followed by deafening thunder and the girl in my arms leaned closer to the window "But I love storm"
