"jimin-ah! come here!" jin yelled from the living room.
he groaned, rubbing his eyes and blinking a few times. it's so early in the morning, what's he yelling for? he cursed the older under his breath as he got up from bed. he unplugged his phone that was charging from the nightstand and he checked the time.
even though he woke up at three in the morning because of a nightmare, jimin felt somewhat happy that he woke up before classes started and he had enough time to get ready.
jimin usually went out for a jog every morning before school. sometimes he'd even wake up two or three hours early to catch a glimpse of the sunrise. it was one of the many things jimin loved about mornings, however the very pleasant yelling from jin today was not one of them. aside from that, he just got an eerie feeling that going out for a jog today might not be a good choice.
he lazily made his way out of his bedroom and into the living room where he found his hyung sitting on the couch, eyes glued to the tv screen.
"hyung?" he calls out softly. jin whips his head to jimin's direction, waving his hand, signalling for the younger to come over. "come here, watch this." he says, pulling him down.
the pink-haired boy looks at his friend and then at the screen.
"reports are coming in that someone was found dead, hanging from a tunnel, just outside the city of seoul at 6am this morning. something was carved on the victim's body, but autopsy reports have not made it clear as to what it was. the killer is still unidentified, but the police are doing their best to find out who could've done such a heinous crime. until then, we advise everyone who lives in the area, or just to everyone in general to be careful and aware of your surroundings."
jimin felt his breath hitch and a shiver ran through his body. "t-they said a t-tunnel?" he stutters out as he slowly looked at the older. jin gasps, "isn't there a tunnel just by where we live?" both of the boys felt their heart sink, either of them failing to form a single word.
"maybe we shouldn't leave the house today, what do you think?" jin suggests. "but i have classes today, hyung." jimin replies, to which he received an eye-roll from the older.
"like hell am i gonna let you out today after what we just saw on tv. i'll call my father and tell him i won't be coming in to work today and you can just, i don't know, miss one day of school."
jimin knew there was no point arguing with the older so he just mumbles a 'fine' as he crossed his arms against his chest.

the brunette made his way down the familiar school hallway with a slight smile on his face. he was gonna see jimin today and that thought alone made him excited. there was something about that pink-haired boy that he couldn't get enough of.
