I had gotten changed into a lilac off-shoulder top with black jeans and black boots, once we got back to Jim's place. Jim was just in a suit and Lee was wearing a black coat with a black skirt.

-----time skip to when the circus show is beginning- ------

The show started off with the Flying Grayson's! They were amazing! Doing all the acrobatic stuff. I was sat next to Jim having the time of my life and I occasionally looked over my shoulder to notice that they were whispering to each other and giggling. Before I knew it the ringmaster came out.

"Ladies and Gentlemen! The Flying Grayson's! Show them your appreciation!" He announced whilst they were waving to the crowd and walking in circles. Beep Beep. I noticed one of the clown cars behind the acrobats. It was neon red and it had several clowns behind it. Some clowns started juggling with bowling pins and one was even on a unicycle! I couldn't believe my eyes. The ringmaster was in a hurry, trying to escort the Grayson's out of the arena. Jim looked very concerned at what was happening before him and that's when things started to grow even more suspicious. One of the clowns had pushed the ringmaster out of the way and then all of a sudden the same clown had thrown a glass bottle over one of the Grayson's. Lee looked at Jim and I with worry crowding in her eyes. All of a sudden a massive fight started out in the ring. It was terrifying but exciting. I mean who gets to see a circus brawl?

James had stood up and had made his way to the edge of the ring, looking back at Leslie and I. "Gey Cey Pey Dey! (GCPD if you don't get what I mean!)" He held his ID and badge up. "Everybody freeze." He had shouted before entering the ring. The fight had slowed to a stop. Lee and I rushed to sort everyone out with first aid kits, whilst Jim went around and questioned every one. I walked over to Jimbo after sorting a few patients out.

"Sorry you had to see that Kiddo. I didn't expect something like that to break out." He apologised to me.

"Don't worry about me Jim, it was pretty awesome anyways." I replied, giving him a slight smile.

We both headed towards Lee. She gave me and Jim a small smile. "Hey, sorry the date went south." He apologised to Lee. Geez, he needs to stop apologising all the time! "Are you kidding? Best date ever! Who gets to see a circus brawl?" She sighed giving a little laugh at the end. Jim also sighed. "True," he shrugged his shoulders, "None of them will talk of course, still have no idea what they are fighting over." Lee looked at me, then Jim. Confusion was in her eyes. "I think they are rival lovers. their families have been fighting since way back. But this particular fight was over a woman named Lyla?" She questioned with uncertainty. "Are you talking about the snake dancer?" I spoke up. Both of them looked at me, puzzled looks on their faces. "What? When you told me about the circus and what it was called, I decided to look it up and look more into it. There was this advertisement saying something about a Snake dancer called Lyla. She was supposed to be in the side show but they cancelled her out for no reason." I had gave them that answer and they still looked at me as if I was crazy. "Wow." Jim looked at me then Lee. "I know." Lee replied. "I should find this woman and see if she is okay then. You two go home." James had said. "We could come with you?" I had suggested. He looked at me sternly. He couldn't let me down. "Come on Jim! I'm dying to meet Lyla!" Lee had giddily exclaimed whilst giving a little giggle at the end. "Well, come on then" he confessed.

"Sir, Where's Lyla?" Jim had asked the ring leader. He then led us to a trailer that had a snake in a cage outside it. The ringmaster knocked on the door 5 times before it had opened up to reveal a boy about my age. He had the same colour hair and eyes as me. He seemed to be 6ft tall, same as me, and that made me smile, it was as if we were made for each other. He poked his head out of the silver trailer door and as soon as his eyes landed on me, I felt a connection. I gave a little reassuring smile and he gave me one back.

"GCPD, I need to speak with Lyla." Jim had spoken, breaking the connection this boy had with me. "She's not here. Why? What's happened?" The boy inquired, whilst putting on a grey overcoat. "Where is she?" Jim questioned him. "She was supposed to be home ages ago." The boy replied. "Are you a relative?" Jim! Stop interrogating the poor boy. "I'm her son, Jerome." He shared. I can feel an interrogation coming on! Get a hold of your chairs! "When did you last see her Jerome?" Jim went on. Jerome looked over at me and Lee. "This morning, she was here when I left for the Library." Library kid huh? I could get on with him, even though I did kill my father and mother, and a few others just for fun. The ringmaster had stepped in.

"Relax Jerome, this man is here because Owen and Al had a disagreement," Jerome looked towards the guy as if he wasn't speaking English. "Your mother's fine. Gone on a spree no doubt, you know how she is." He said. Jerome looked at him as if something was up. "A spree? Without her hat, her coat or her purse?" Jerome looked at me, then Lee, then Jim. I looked at the snake and noticed that something wasn't right, Jerome had caught onto this as well. "Look at Sheba, she's distraught. she knows something's wrong." Jerome looked at me as I walked over to the cage. "She does seem agitated," I confirmed and I looked at Jerome with a reassuring smile, "I'm sure we will find your mother Jerome." I placed my hand on his shoulder. I heard the ringmaster speak up to Jim but I was too indulged by Jerome. "My name's Kira. It's nice to meet you Jerome." I informed him, a slight tone of pink going across his face. Jim cleared his throat, again cutting the connection we had. "How fast does a snake like that move?" He pondered. Jerome looked confused. "I don't know, fast walking pace," He informed Jim, "They rely on surprise mainly." I knew where this was going. He was going to demand Jerome to let the snake out. "Let her out." He demanded. Told ya, didn't I? Jerome looked at me then back at Jim. Jerome unlocked the cage to let Sheba out whilst the other 3 talked.

The ginger let out the snake. Lee, Jim and the ringmaster followed it and I stayed behind with Jerome, taking our time to talk. "Are you okay Jerome? I know we haven't gotten to know each other but I am here for you." I patted him on the shoulder and he looked at me. "Thanks for the reassurance Kira," He looked at me, "You wanna grab a coffee sometime?" he asked. "Sure, I don't see why not." I smiled and that also made him smile. He intertwined his arm with mine and we continued following the snake, which was near a hay cart. It slithered under the white plastic sheet. Jerome had let go of my arm but still stood next to me, very closely. Jim went up and threw the cover off to find Jerome's mother laying there. She was in her Snake Dancer get up but it was all covered in blood and she had her throat sliced.

"Oh My God." Lee shuddered. Jerome started to cry and as he did that he fell to his knees. I fell with him and embraced him in a hug whilst he cried into my chest. Jim looked concerned and went up to the ring leader. "You knew, didn't you?" He questioned the ring leader. Back to the interrogation scene! "No." He plainly said looking down on the ground. Jerome was still crying into my chest as I comforted him. "You are safe Jerome, especially with me." I reassured him. He looked up at me, "Thank you Kira," then he put his head back into his spot as I rocked us back and forth to sooth him. "She was like that when we found her." The Ringmaster had informed James. I went back to Jerome's trailer as Jim and Lee went off with the leader of the circus and other GCPD officers.

Once in trailer, I sat down on the sofa with Jerome. Her turned to me with a smile that was so creepy it was perfect. "Can you keep a secret Kira?" He asked. I nodded and he adjusted his posture so that he was sitting up straight. I did the same thing. "I killed my mother." I mock gasped as I kind of figured something was wrong. "Can I tell you something too Jerome?" He looked at me with curiosity. "Go on, you can tell me anything."

"I killed both of my parents and a few others. I killed my mother at the age of 12 by drowning her in the bath tub whilst my father was out. I of course used gloves to make sure that there was no evidence of me doing it. I killed my best friends whilst we were doing a game of Russian Roulette. Of course I had won because the secret to good comedy is --" I was cut off by him. "Timing. And courage is just grace under pressure. You are a bloody genius. I guessed you used gloves for that as well as using them for killing your father." He finished my sentence. "Yeah, I killed my father today whilst playing a game of Russian Roulette. But shot him in the chest instead. I lied to Gordon saying that he shot himself before me." Jerome looked at me, half shocked and half surprised. "You're a little Jester aren't you? You, my darling, are the most interesting person that I have ever met!" He exclaimed. I gestured for him to calm down as I heard someone knock on the door. Jerome put his sad expression on as I put on a sympathetic one as we opened the door.

"Jerome? Kira? We need to go to the GCPD. Jerome you are in for questioning about your mother and Kira, you need to be questioned by someone about your mother and father." Jim had told us. Jerome and I both followed his instructions and we went to the GCPD for questioning.
