Thursday June 4

"Caroline!"

"Why do you keep yelling my name like that." She replied sassily.

"Why are we both home? One of us is meant to be in the restaurant helping mum" I spoke as calmly as I could.

"Speak for yourself." Caroline spoke back.

I took a couple of breaths in as I spoke

"You know clearly that the one of us is meant to be you!"

"I know that but..."

"But what?" I cut in.

"I promised Maria I'd be home, she's visiting" Caroline whined.

"What??? You gave her our home address?"

"But how else will she get here if I didn't give her the address." Caroline said.

"Caroline for starters she's a complete stranger."

"Not to me. I'm sure I know her more than her."

Caroline said as she hummed dusting the couches.

"Sorry young lady rules are rules." I said.

"C'mon please just fill in for me today and I'd fill in for you for the next two days."

"No Caroline, besides you've got school. You can't be selfish this time"

"What do you mean?"

"You know fully well that I have basketball practice with Spencer and Shawn and the boys."

She sighed.

"Well mum can handle it alone."

"No she can't and won't." I said as I held Caroline's right hand up to prevent her from further cleaning.

"Mums health is getting worse! We should even think of ways to relieve her of all this work she's doing. You can't continue to be selfish and live life like it's all about you Caroline"

Then her eyes began to water as she threw the cleaning rag on the floor.

"I wasn't the one who told Dad to bail on us Jeremy so stop acting like it's my damn fault!" She said as she prevented tears from coming out, by rubbing them off the moments they rolled down her cheeks.

"Well yes it's your damn fault . Dad probably knew  you'll act all shitty, selfish and useless when you are 15 years old and then he ran away" I argued back.

Then tears began to flow from her eyes.

"Damn you Jeremy!" She yelled as she ran out of the house crying.

I spoke harshly and I said a lot of irrelevant things.. ugh damn you Jeremy!

I ran after her but I couldn't see her anywhere. She probably went to meet Tina and Mavis her buds.

Maria's POV

Caroline said I could visit and I was looking forward to it. I drove my SUV as I saw a girl running and crying.
A girl?
Thats Caroline!
I quickly brought my car to a halt and ran out of the car to meet her.

"Caroline what's the matter?" Then I directed her into the car.

I drove her to one of my favorite celebrity location.

'Blue-star drinks n' fun' .

Then we got in and I ordered cocktail wine for her. She had stopped crying.
