During that time there was a small kingdom, some way away from the ocean, but not too far. It was called the Kingdom of Argon.
The Kingdom of Argon was ruled by King Tungsten. His wife was Queen Abalone. The king and queen of Argon had a daughter, Princess Mango.
Having merpeople as slaves and pets was quite normal at the time. So the Queen of Argon wanted to have some too, and the king didn't mind.
As it happened, a merking and his family had just been caught by a fisherman, and they ended up in the royal palace of Argon.
They were treated quite well. They were allowed to swim in one of the royal lakes and were given saltrocks to sit on. Under those circumstances, the royal merfamily survived much longer than most other enslaved merpeople.
The merking and queen also had a daughter. The merprincess was called Nori.
