The young knight took the two princesses all the way to the ocean and dropped them off at the shore. Then he raced back to the Palace of Argon and put the black horse back in the stable.
He never spoke to anybody about what had happened that night.
Soon after the disappearance of the two princesses, a neighbouring country declared war on the Kingdom of Argon. The royal cavalry had been sent out to search for Mango and Nori, but now every man was needed to defend the kingdom.
The young knight who had rescued the princesses was sent into battle. He wasn't told what the war was about but he went happily. His head was full of dreams about becoming a hero. He could already see himself in the uniform of a paladin.
Then he would have to confess what he knew about the disappearance of Mango and Nori. That would be a small price to pay for winning the hand of the Princess of Argon.
Many men were killed in the battle, including the young cavalryman. The secret of the two princesses died with him.
