They were standing in a circle in total silence watching her every move. Almost breathlessly waiting for her next words.
-Tomorrow is a good day for taking an exam. This card- her finger pointed one of the cards on the table with drawen books on it - this card means good fortune in any life tests!
Everybody around her left a sigh of relief.
-Can you tell me my fortune now?-one girl asked pushing herself in a front row. The girl inside the circle looked at her tilting her head and scanning the girl from head to toes, then gather her cards holding them on her palm.
-Pick one card.-she said closing her eyes. The other girl took one card and showed her. It was a prince on a white horse but the picture was upside down.
-You have a secret lover-the young fortune teller smiled but then she got serious- but he's no good for you. He is a liar and a cheater!
The second girl got mad-That's not the truth! He loves me!
-Draw second card-she cut her and took next picked card. It was a man in black suit-a judge.
-You see, it was decided like that, even before you fell in love with him. The judge is never wrong! Now give me the last card.
On a third card, a beautiful girl was holding a cat.
-One of your close friends is not honest with you, she is a cat, a double-faced person. Sweet and beautiful in front of you but stabbing her claws when you turn your back. She is the one who your prince will choose!
The school bell rang and she took her cards pushing through the crowd to leave the school. Today was a good day for her. Everybody was listening and she played her role- Good job YunSoo!-she praised herself smiling and put a hoodie on her head covering ruby red hair. Dressed all black with long skirt and hoodie, she resembled a real witch. Her ruby red hair was a perfect addition to that picture.
YunSoo was known as a school witch. The first day she came to this school kids were making fun of her, calling her names and most of them called her witch so she decided to become one for them. Next day she changed her appearance and hair color. Her knowledge of reading Tarot cards, which her grandma taught her, was very useful and complete the whole story.
She might not succeed with just that but her ability to observe things and good an intuition made her successful in "fortune telling" so she became popular.
Well, being popular was better than being bullied so she was happy with everything sticking to her role.
YunSoo was walking towards the woods where she lived with her father in a small hose. The house belonged to her grandparents and when they died her father and she moved there. She never met her mother since she died giving birth to her and that lack of a mother love left a big scar on her young soul. The only mother-like love she received was from her grandma who taught her everything she knew and tried to give her happy memories with lots of love.
Her father was a strict man but always absent in her life. He was a construction worker, without a steady job, so they often moved around because he wasn't able to keep it.
YunSoo never really had the chance to make friends, nor she wanted them. Why sharing thought and feelings with someone who will not stay in your life for a long time?
But like any girl, she wanted to be loved and popular and only her ability to adjust helped her to feel little of that.
This time she decided to become a witch, which was fun and exciting. Many kids stayed away from her in fear that she could throw a spell on them or bring misfortune and that was her little power that she held and liked.
