Dares -Part 2.

She was holding her breath waiting of what will happen next. Her palms were sweating and heart pounded like crazy. She stood firmly on that edge and her green eyes searched for traces. She knew he was he was near her, just she didn't saw him yet. But she could feel his breaths on her nape and his cold touches over her sensitive skin.

He was not visible but surely he was real!

-Darius, I know you are there! So you better show yourself!

Her both hands rose up and eyes shut.

-I'm calling the moon and the stars! I'm calling the clouds and the wind! - she shouted repeating those words three times.

Strange fogy cloud formed somewhere above her and started lowering down until her whole figure was covered with it.

-Do you have to do that? Calling me by my old name? It's annoying you know. - a man's voice echoed all around that cloud.

-You could be more obedient, like the others... so you could pass without suffering.

She laughed sadly.

-But one thing you forgot, Darius. I fell in love with you which made me stronger.

A dark figure started to form behind her. Dares face came from the fog and his eyes were like a black hole, lifeless and cruel.

- Love? Do you bother with stupid things like that? That is why you are and always be a weak witch. On the other hand, I got more interesting things in life to do.

His hand touched her red hair, then grab a fistful of it and pulled her closer. His lips were right next to her ear.

-You wanted to play with fire, Astra, but the fire burned you.

His laughter made chills down her spine.

She was loving and hating him at the same time with equal passion.

They met two years ago and at that time Darius looked lost and pitiful. She didn't know what happened to him but she felt some closeness and wanted to help him.

Since she was a child she had some sort of special feelings, those strange emotions she was able to feel around people. Those were her undeveloped powers and through the years she learned to control and use them.

Astra never knew why she was like that but since she was born with it, and had to accept that those powers were part of her too.

So at that moment, when she first saw Darius, dark energy was all around him but his soul was still somewhere there inside of him buried deep and covered with the dirt of evil.

She was trying to set him free using her powers but also showing him her love. Because somewhere in that process of recovering his lost soul Astra fell in love in Darius. There were times when he showed his love too, he was back to his old self and those times were magical for both of them. He was gentle and caring like he used to be with his wife, but those times lasted for a short while. Like something really strong would pull him back to that dark place. He was losing himself more and more every time that happened. Darius became colder but that coldness draws her even more to him. The heart doesn't listen and only does what it wants like a stubborn child.

As time goes by and things only get worse, Astra decided to use one last chance and possibility to help him.

That is what she was doing on that cliff, the place where all should be finished, good or bad but it will end this torture.
