Traveling through the night, while stubbing her toe at least five times, Arabella snuck into Bluespring and was able to get into Mythbarrow before hiding in the bushes until dawn. It had been a long night and she had started every time she heard a noise but always a small bunny or deer was the cause of the disturbance. When she had reached a fork in the road she simply followed her gut and went right.
"Gran, gran! I bought biscuits like you asked" called a little girl. When Arabella poked her head out from behind a tree she was able to spot a small girl in a red cape, skipping along to a song she was whistling. Behind her Arabella was able to spot a grey wolf stalking his prey, she knew that she must help the little girl but had no idea what to do. Suddenly an idea came to her head. What if she led the wolf off in the opposite direction, at least then the grandma and little girl would be spared.
A couple of minutes later Arabella was ready, her backpack was strapped firmly on her back and all her distractions were ready and waiting in her arms. At last, she was up in the birch tree and was above the wolf and safe in case he did spot her. Off went the first alarm, she had thrown the rocks towards the south and the wolf had obviously heard it as he had turned his head in that direction.
'Now for the second one' she thought. A loud squeal was let out as Arabella dropped the rest of the rocks onto the wolf's head. The little girl in the red cape spotted the wolf and was able to run off in the direction of her gran's house leaving the wolf to go and run after the sound which he mistook for footprints. This left Arabella safe to exit the forest and arrive at the bottom of Aojo's cave.
