Pull a rubber band between your fingers
The rubber is almost about to snap
You feel it breaking and yet still you pull it apart
Suddenly someone needs a rubber band
You stop pulling and hand it to the person
Its still nearly broken
But you're not pulling it anymore
The person uses it and hands it back
If you had kept it and kept pulling it would have snapped by now
You feel happy that the person took your rubber band
But the minute it's back in your hands you start pulling once again
The person doesn't notice
So you keep pulling, waiting for it to snap
You don't stop pulling it
You can't stop, it's like something else is controlling your hands
The person asks for it once more and you hand it over
This time they see a tiny give away crack and they frown but use it anyway and hands it back
