The Villain I am Not

Chapter Seven

(Adam)

I see it... The end is near, my training is reaching its end. Will I be able to defeat my enemy? Will I avenge my parents?...

All this questions started on my head since I started my training. But I can't seem to find the answers. When I walked away the dark planet and meet Vaahati, I have only think about what he really saw in me. Did he saw me Fail? Did he saw me lose? I couldn't sleep for at least four days.

I was in orbit on the Excalibur awaiting orders from master Rohnan. But he never called or left any messages. I was with the small group of people that decided to stay on the ship. Of course, Evaline was there, she just stared at me. She was very silent but always watching my every move. The past days have been silent, we havent find any other Old light, Rohnan was in a meeting. The agents did not bring any information so far. I wanted to go away back home and rest, but home was far out of reach.

I walked to the control room and even in there , there was a silence that was uncomfortable. As I sat down on the commander chair I was followed by Evaline

"Trouble resting?"

"Yes.... Its been a few days" -I replied with minimal interest

I cant deny Evaline was a good looking woman, she had a greate body that any man would want to posses. But I had my mind on her, the light girl.

"So.... You never answered my question back there"

I was surprised.

"What? Oh... Your question game... Its ok I pass. I really want to rest."

"Well... I can sing you a lullaby" -she said with a flirt on her tone

She walked closer and sat on my side, very close to me and hugged me by the side. She looked at me with different eyes, like... Innocent eyes. She smiled and started humming a song, a song I am sure I have heard before. It reminded me of the time I was a child, and my mother would sing it to me. I got lost in the memory and woke up fast almost knocking her out from my side. She looked at me surprised. Three hours had passed I fell sleep right next to her!

"Are you feeling any better my lord?

"I.... I am fine"

" Lord... I... Think I..."

A message arrived to the console interrupting her from saying anything else. It was a message from Rohnan. A new old light was located. My mission was taking it out.

Time has passed, and killing for me its easier now. I cant say it is my favorite thing to do. But I have been closing my feelings by doing it.

The call was for planet kiolva, a lava planet. I read the information on the file, I had seen that Old light, master Rahja a very strong man that teached me about concentration. But I couldn't let that interfere.

I set the coordinates and awaited for the time to appear, it was one day and seven hours, I looked at D.D and scoffed. Another long trip.

The hours passed and I was getting hungry, my only options at the moment was going to the crew area and get something from there... Problem was that all of the passengers would look for conversation and I wasn't very talkative. I walked down the corridor as silent as I could just in case they were sleeping. For my surprise they actually were. I passed down the room doors and I reached the crew area. There only Evaline was sitting on the table drinking something from a mug.

"Hello my lord.... U need something prepared?" - she said in a lovely tone

.."yes please... Just something to bite."

She smiled and stood from the table and walked toward the wall fridge. She grabbed some boxed meat and placed it on the time furnace. About three minutes and the beeping sound was filling the silence. She gently remove the cover and the aroma of the cooked meat filled the room.

"Here you go master.... All done"- she said happy

"Thank you... You can rest if you need to, we wont be there until tomorrow" -I said

"Oh I know, I just want to be here with you to keep you company"

"And I appreciate it... But I felt want to be alone. Could you be so kind?"

"My lord?.... I would really like to stay... I wish to know more of you, I am.... Interested in knowing you more for.... Reasons" - she got a little blush on her cheeks and she covered her face.

"Well... What do you want to know then?" - I asked serious

She simply stood up and walked toward me and got really close to me, she reached my ear and softly spoke to me

"I'm falling for you" -she got away from my ear and she kissed my lips softly as she walked away

At first I stood from the table and looked at her with mean eyes, but then I stopped and looked at the table, she walked away and smiled at me again with those eyes that look kinda innocent. I sat down again and contemplate the food, I was out of focus with her kiss. But... How? I struggled with the feeling of walking to her and grab her so we could kiss a little longer. I was losing my mind. I have fall for her game of seduction. This had to stop.

The remaining hours passed slow, it was so silent and the hall empty. I was watching the mission briefing on a small tablet device. The sound of the lightspeed turning off and returning to normal speed could be heard. We are here? I asked myself, but D.D said on the communicator that about in ten more minutes we finally would have arrived.

The ship finally landed on a very rocky planet. The oxygen was not enough for normal humans to breathe, so we had to use equipment so that we could step out on the planet surface. A small group formed by Evaline, Wyatts and me. Three more machines joined us in case of an ambush. As we walk around the surface looking for lifeforms, the first sight we got was from a tall mountain of rocks, something was moving ahead. Wyatts took his gun out and proceed walking towards the noise. At first we believed it was someone watching from a far position, when we reached high ground we managed to see a small tribe looking aliens. They were setting camp on top of the rocky mountains. From the looks of it they where natives of the area. Wyatts looked at me in case i wanted him to open fire, but i just moved toward them. I needed to see if they were hostile or friendly.

As we descend the hill covering the ship we got closer to the native aliens and eavesdrop conversations, their language was different from what i had heard. One of the machines stood forward and revealed to the natives, some hide, some stayed looking at the machine. The ones staying where whispering to each other, one of them muttered something but the machine didnt understand it. I stepped out and walked toward them.

"We come to find the temple, we are looking for Shanta-Tek, he is strong on the light" - I told them

One of the natives walked to me,

"Shanta-Tek? HO kimo natcuomou"- he replied

"Where is him?" - i demanded

"Him?.... him?....." - the native replied puzzled

"Yes! Where is him? I need to find him!"

"Him is no him..... him as a misse... he a misse...." -he looked at Evaline

Wyatts looked, he understood a little.

"I think he is saying is not a he but a she...."

"Shanta-Tek is a woman?"

The native clapped as he understood my words. I asked if he could take me to her, and he looked scared. Who ever Shanta-Tek was he was afraid to take us there. After many seconds he finally agreed to take us. We walked the rocky mountains and it took us two hours to reach the temple. But we where late, someone was already there.
