"So are you ready, petite fleur?" Jacob asked me.

"I'm born ready, brother," I said with a smile on my face, as I hold my bow.

"That's what I'm talking about. Now, if anything happens... Promise me one thing," he said, as he holds my shoulders and looks straight to my eyes.

"What is it?"

"Never lose your focus. Don't let anger and revenge control your mind, okay?" he said and I nodded in agreement. And deep inside me, I wish I can hold unto that promise.

The door swung open, as the three kings, followed by Ares and Charles, entered the safe room near the battle grounds.

"They just arrived, and they're very prepared in our perspectives," Ares explained. So we went outside to get the guards, archers and our horses ready.

I'm now telling orders to the archers, but as soon we heard a strange noise, we all prepared to shoot. This is bad...

"Someone just died in our kingdom, Your Highness!" explained the leader of the archers.

I nodded in understanding. But at the same time, I was shocked and scared. I really have a bad feeling about this.

"Your Highness, everyone is ready," one of the guards said and I motioned the archers to get to their positions.

We heard a loud bang of a drum, making me jump. And there I saw from afar, lots and lots of guards of Asylum. Lots, I mean like a 5 thousand guards, while the archers of Asylum cannot be found. I don't have to worry since we're like triple the size of the Asylum army.

"On three, shoot, okay?!" the leader ordered, as the archers nodded.

The guards of Asylum were going close faster that usual. Something is wrong.

"Three!"

"Two!"

"O-"

"Stop!" I shouted. The archers stopped, their faces were full of confusion.

"Why Your Highness?" the leader of the archers asked.

"They're bombs. Don't hit them, they'll explode and it can hit us," I explained.

"But what if they're going to attack?" the leader of the archers asked, full of interest in her voice.

"Well, they would be stupid, because once that kind of bomb detects metal, they will go exploding, so what we need is fire, that would burn them to death. Am I right?" I said, and they nodded in agreement.

"We're on it, princess," one of the archers said, as she motioned the others to follow her.

I motioned the other archers to get ready on their positions. No one knows how scared I am for the sake of my kingdom, my family and my friends. I'm scared for myself.

As soon as I heard the loud shouts of the guards of Asylum, our guards started to march forward, as they avoid the baits.

I saw that the other archers run towards the baits wearing no armour and no weapons in hand. They're just wearing clothes made from animal skins. And there, they started to burn the bait. No mercy were shown in their actions. And that's what the kingdom of Vera is known from. We're merciless, brave and brutal. We're allies with the kingdom of Teaves and Igleas. But today, Igleas won't be battling, for now.
