-AMALIA-
"Amalia, you need to wake up!"
"We need you, so wake up!"
"She's moving! She's finally moving!"
"Call the doctor, James!"
I opened my eyes and saw a very bright light and 4 figures that seem like a person to me.
"Where am I?" I asked as I tried to sit and looked around.
"You're in the hospital. You've been in a coma for a week!" a voice cried out, and there I saw Nella.
"Nella?" I whispered, can't believe what I'm seeing right now. She's wearing a student uniform and ID. So meaning, everything is a dream... No... how about Charles? So he's not true?!
Wait... But no, it feels real. The war, the arrow, the death. It feels real. Marcus, Charles, Ares... It can't be.
It can't be... It feels true... Why do I feel like this? It hurts... Ahhh I'm so stupid!
"Why am I in a coma?" I asked.
"You got bumped by a car. You don't remember? That bastard!" Jacob said as he glared at the ceiling. As if it's the ceiling's fault.
Suddenly I remembered what happened. I was walking down the street, talking to someone on the phone. But then a car drive towards me, and there I felt pain and blacked out.
"Whatever. When will I be free to go?" I retorted as I tried to stand up.
"Tomorrow, my dear," my mom's sweet voice was heard from the background. I looked at her, tears in her eyes as she smiled happily, knowing that I'm now fine.
"So... I was in a coma?" I asked, just making sure if Charles is just an imaginary person who I met when I was sleeping for a week.
"Yes, you were in a coma, but let's not talk about it," Nella said.
"Wait so I'm just dreaming?" I said, clamping my mouth shut. They just looked at each other strangely.
My mom cleared her throat and smiled at me, " Dear, what dream?"
"Nevermind, mom."
a week later...
"Class, let me announce that our class president is back!" our class professor announced in front of the class.
I walked inside and stood beside the professor, as I face the whole class. I hear claps, cheering and whooping in the background. Their faces are very familiar, but I don't remember some parts.
"Oh and Amalia, we have a new student. He moved a two weeks ago," the professor said as he walked towards the new student. I looked at the new student. He looks familiar...
"Amalia, this is Charles, the new student. Charles, this is Amalia, our class president," introduced the professor.
"Hello, my name's Charles," he said, as he looks at me. I smiled at him weakly, as I stared at his eyes, which were full of confusion... and sadness?
I sat on my designated seat, as I secretly glanced at him from time to time.
Can't it be? This is Charles? But, he's just like in my dreams...
"Hey, can I borrow a pen?" Charles asked.
"Hm?" I asked and I looked at him, as I try to be calm.
"Can I borrow an extra pen?" he asked politely, as he smiled, showing his pearly white teeth.
"Oh, sure!" I said as I opened my pencil case, putting out the pen and gave it to him. As he nods, saying thank you.
