Trust the lie

He disappeared, and the connection blurred. He was gone. She hoped they would not have a connection never EVER again. There was not even a hint of Ben Solo only Kylo Ren.

'Liar' she told herself; Rey wanted to trust this lie but she couldn't. She was sure that Ben Solo was there, he was just hiding. Hiding behind the new Supreme Leader of The First Order.

She didn't know what to do. She was lost, sad and annoyed.
All she wanted to do now was sleeping but she couldn't. She couldn't stop thinking about him. She couldn't help it. It wasn't her fault.
The thing that annoyed her the most  in all this was that he was right.Well he was only right on the fact that deep inside she wanted to join him. And that was quite enough to annoy her.
She couldn't lie, the thought of ruling over the galaxy was attracting her and when she realized it she felt really guilty. But she'd rather stay and fight with her friends than being part of the First Order. Or even ruling it!
But there was something else. Not only the idea of ruling the First Order was attracting her. The one that asked her to was also the reason why she almost accepted to change her path.
Rey knew there was good in him he proved it on Ahch-To and on the Cruiser. She wanted to bring her son back to Leia; this would be a wonderful gift.
But she didn't know how. After what he told her a while ago she couldn't tell if hope was still there.
She wanted to help him. She had compassion for him and she hoped she'll find a way to bring him home.
For sure she was going to. But not now she was too tired for this. Later.
And on those thoughts she fell asleep in the cockpit.

The vision blurred and she was gone. Great. Now he has gotten rid of her once and for all. Kylo Ren hoped they won't have any connection again.
But a little voice inside of him was shouting to him that that he was wrong, that he was attempting to lie to himself. The voice was getting louder and louder becoming a yell ...

Why did he do that ? Why did he try to strangle her ? He didn't want that, to behave that way when he was with her.
Why did she reject him ? He didn't understand. Why ? He offered her the entire galaxy. He killed Snoke in order to save her life and that's how she thanks him ?
The only thing she to do was to take his hand. And everything would have been okay.
Furthermore he was angry at himself. Well he was angry at himself all the time but now it wasn't the same. He really shouldn't have spoke those words. He has hurt her. He knew it. That's the only thing he was good at. Hurting people. Both physically and mentally. At that moment he wanted to apologize to Rey ...No. NO. No way. He won't show her his weakness again.

At this moment someone knocked at the door, it was Hux :

"What do you want Hux ?"he asked briefly.

"Supreme Leader, you seem to have forgotten that we have a meeting with other generals ?" Hux said.

"Wha...What meeting ? Ah yes, I'm coming. And on those words he left his room and his thoughts inside.
