Divergence

They arrived in what must have been Rey's 'room'.
She closed the door as he crossed the door and turned back to face him.
"You know what we're going to do ?"she immediately started.
Wow he didn't expect her to be so direct. The look in her eyes was quite the same she gave him in the forest. She
"No..."he simply answered giving her a puzzled look
"We're going to behave as if we didn't connect and waiting for it to end. I simply don't want to start a conversation with you right now."
And on those words she went to the seat she used as a bed and laid.
A great time passed and he was still here. She wasn't sleeping, he knew it, but she was thinking about plenty of things. He has tried to enter her thoughts many times, but that didn't lead him to anything at all.
At one point he decided to break the silence finding this situation burdensome.
"I told you I was sorry ."
She got out of the bed and stood up, not quitting his eyes. They stayed like that for maybe two minutes until he took the initiative to step closer to Rey.
She first stepped back but then she let him approach her. He was quite happy about that, it could have mean that she still trust him.
Once he was only inches from her, they stared at each other for another minute until he noticed that her eyes were starting to get wet.
'Is she crying?'he asked to himself.
The second after she broke into tears and fell on the ground.
"Rey!" Ben called.
No, no, no ! He didn't want to see her like that. But whether he wants it or not that was his fault. He knew it.
He lowered himself, in order to be almost at the same height as her.
She looked at him about to say something but at that precise moment someone stormed in the room. The traitor...great.
She glanced at the traitor then back at him. Gave him a slight smile before the connection blurred and he disappeared.

"Rey! Are you okay??"

"Yes Finn I'm fine..."she spoke back.

"Don't lie, you're not, I could hear you crying from the corridor."

She sighed.

"What's happening ? Last time I found you crying like that alone in your room you said you'll tell me later: so come on, tell me..."He ordered.

The young girl sighed.

Then she fought that she had lied to her closest friend enough.

"Take a seat."

It took a long time to explain everything to him, more time than Leia.
He didn't say anything while she was telling him the entire story, she was now fearing his reaction.
Once she stopped talking. He gave her a disappointed look, it took him a while until he decided to say something.
"And so you're hiding that to everyone ?"
"No, Leia guessed that I was lying and she asked me to tell her the truth." Rey admitted.
"Why didn't you tell me the truth immediately ?" Finn asked

"I was scared of what you would think or that you would be overreacting." She told him.

"Oh I'm sorry but I think I have reasons to 'overreact' "he let out sarcastically while doing air quotes with his hands

"You should be careful Rey, he is using you, if you haven't understood yet. He wants to turn you and use your power. He is brainwashing you ! I can't believe that you can't see anything. I'd never thought you could be that naive."

Rey glanced at him. Upset. It was like he was grounding a little girl. Yet she wasn't a little girl anymore.

"Come on i don't want to fight, especially because of that reason. I'm sorry Finn but I don't think you're the one that can give me any advices or orders onto what I should do right now. This is my business. My own business. I guess you can barely understand espacially since you've not spent enough time with him to really get to know him better. To get to know the human hiding under that cold disguise." She retorted calmly.

Finn sighed loudly to let her know his frustration and disappointment. She knew it was bad idea.

"You disappoint me a lot Rey. I'm wondering what Luke Skywalker's been teaching you on Ahch-To. I thought Jedi were wise smart and intelligent, knowing what choices they had to make."

"Well I'm not a Jedi...for the moment so..."

"Maybe but you don't need to be a Jedi to know that you don't have to fall in love with the enemy !!" Finn reproached. His voice started to get closer to a shout.

"IM NOT FALLING IN LOVE WITH HIM !!!"

Here we go, Rey lost control.
She was staring at Finn with a murderous gaze that could mean 'if any other word comes out of your mouth I'm literally going to do the same thing as our so-called 'enemy' and choke with the Force until you collapse to the floor and won't be able to say anything similar like what you just said'.
At this moment Finn knew he'd better shut his mouth.
And that's what he did. For his own safety.

"Get up and get out"

He slowly stood up without breaking eye contact with Rey.

"NOW"

And on those words he stormed out of the room, Rey slammed the door behind him and seated on the floor her back up against the door.

Finn is really too protective over Rey, I think it's kinda cute.
