"Minerva, it's a surprise. How did you know I was here? I only came to collect some of my work." said Severus as Minerva walked into his private quarters.
"Severus, you told me last week. That is how I know." she said turning around sitting on one of the sofas in the living room.
Severus stood there for a moment before realising that she is correct. His hair was tidy as always but he was in a modern black and white suit.
"Ally!" he said loudly. Only seconds later a house elf popped into appearance. She wearied a blue overall and a blue hat, Severus' house elf.
"Yes Sir! "She said in an orderly manner.
"Make me and Minerva some tea please." he asked
The house elf went away in another poof and only seconds later returned with some tea and biscuits.
"So, Minerva, what is it?" asked Severus putting the tray down.
"Well, Miss Hermione Granger visited me earlier today. She knows about Herma. She your daughter, Severus ."
"I know. She wrote to me but I try and keep my identity a secret. I sign it-"
"S.S, I know. She asked me if I knew who her father is."
Now Severus was paying full attention. His dark hazel eyes were lit and his cheeks were pale.
"What did you tell her?"
"I told her that you were in hiding and that I don't know if you were still alive. "She said before slipping out of her cup.
"Thank you." Said Severus putting the teacup on the coffee table he strode to one of the windows. "I have watched her from afar. At every point in her life. I was the guy sitting reading a boring newspaper at the dentist office when she accidently stepped on his toe. I was the one who was at the front row seat at every school concert."
"You have been a part of her life in every manner. Minerva said realising.
"Are you going to reveal yourself, Severus?" she asked standing next to him.
"Yes but not today."
"When you do. I will back you fully. She is my granddaughter as well.", and with that Minerva left the private quarters of Severus Snape.
