Cas POV:

They began walking up towards the library. Cas couldn't help but feel nervous. Dean was the first person to catch his attention since... him. Cas shook his head. He couldn't let his horrible ex get in the way of any sort of relationship with the boy.

"Hey- so by the way, my name is Dean, in case you were wondering." Dean caught up with him. Dean. What a perfect name for the boy.

"Cas. As...you...know." Cas slowed with each word. Dean laughed. Cas blushed, looking away. They worked until dusk, before Cas had to go home.

"I have to go. Goodbye, Dean." Cas smiled at him.

"Bye, Cas." Dean replied.

Cas began walking home. He figured he only lived a ten minutes walk from school, so he didn't bother calling for a ride, even though it was dark. He had only been on the road a few minutes before something came out from the surrounding trees, knocking him over and pinning him to the pavement.

"So, little fag. Finally got over me?" Cas paled.

"Raphael. Get off of me please." Cas tried to keep the fear out of his voice. That always made it worse.

"Aww come on Cassie. I see how you always look at me. Still dreaming about all the nights we spent together?" Raphael sneered. Cas tried to get up. Raphael slapped him across the face. "You don't get up until I say so."

Cas shut his eyes, when he heard a car horn blare. Raphael got off him. Cas opened his eyes, to see Dean getting out of his car. He grabbed Raphael, slamming him into a nearby tree.

"Hey, douchebag>" Dean spat. "You better not go near Castiel ever again. If you do, I will hunt you down and make you regret it. Got it?" Raphael laughed.

"Oh Cassie! Got yourself a new boy toy? How long do you think this one will be around? Two weeks, tops?" And with that Raphael turned on his heel, walking away leaving a fuming Dean and a scared Castiel.

Dean turned to Cas. "Are you alright?" He asked. Cas nodded. He felt dizzy, from the hits Raphael got on him. Cas felt his eyes well up. Cas let himself sink into Deans arms, barely even noticing when he picked him up and put him in the car.

Deans POV

He was furious. No one deserves that treatment-easpecially not Cas. Dean held him for a while, before putting him in the car.

As he drove, he realized he had no idea where Cas lived. He turned, lightly shaking Cas awake. "whats your adress?" Dean whispered. Cas told him, before drifting back off to sleep.

As soon as they got there, Cas woke up. He barely had the energy to stand, so Dean helped him. They walked inside.

"Be careful. Otherwise my sibilings might hear you." Cas whispered. Dean nodded. They got to Cas's room, and Dean laid him on the bed. Dean was about to turn and go, when he felt Cas grab his wrist.

"Stay?" Cas pleaded. "I don't want to be alone." Dean nodded once, before climbing into the bed.

When they woke up, Cas's head was on Deans chest. Dean laid there until Cas opened his eyes.

"Hey" Dean said quietly. Cas looked at him, realizing the position they were in, and jumped away. He watched with wide eyes as he waited for Dean to yell at him.

"I'm-ah... I'm so sorry. It won't happen again... I am sorry." Cas stuttered. Cas looked down at his feet, seeming afraid.

"Dude, its fine. What happened back there?" Dean asked. Cas looked away, absently touching his cheek, where a bruise was beginning to form.

"That was my ex boyfriend. Raphael. He used to beat me, and I broke up with him. He still beats me, when he can find me." Cas sighed. "Nothing I do seems to be enough to get him to stop. I just want it to stop!" Cas was on the verge of tears.

"I won't let him hurt you again, Cas." Dean said. "Not ever."

Gabriel's POV:

After Dean and Cas left to go work on their project, I turned to Sam. "So, looks like they will be a while. Want to go get some food or something?" He asked. Sam nodded. They set off for the roadhouse-the best diner in the town.

When they got there, they took a seat and ordered. After they ordered, Gabe started trying to make small talk. "What's your favorite color?" He asked.

"Green." Sam replied. "Yours?"

"Blue. How many siblings do you have?"

"Just Dean and I."

"That would be cool. I have so many. I can't even keep track most of the time." Gabe rolled his eyes. "There is Castiel, Anna, Uriel, and Lucifer. And Michal will be soon." Gabe smiled.

"That's cool. I would love to have a sister, too." Sam replied.

"No, you wouldn't. She is horrible. Luci and Cas are the only decent ones. Anna and Uriel are terrible."

"Oh. Sorry." Sam looked at his shoes.

"It's cool. Hey, do you want to come over?" For some reason, Gabe didn't want to stop talking to Sam yet. He felt his heart flutter when Sam said yes.

So, they set off for Gabes house. When they got there, they could hear yelling.

"WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?" Anna's voice rang through the entire house. Gabe paled, and ran upstairs. He saw Cas cowering in his bed, with Deans arm protectively over him.

"A-Anna it's not wha-what it looks like!" Cas stuttered. Deans eyes hardened.

"THE HELL IT ISN'T! I DON'T WANT A FAG IN MY HOUSE CASTIEL" Anna screamed. That's when Gabe heard him. Uriel. Uriel stomped down from the third floor. Fire in his eyes. He took in the scene in front of him.

He walked over to the two in the bed. "What happened?" He asked, ice in his voice.

"I had a run in with someone who hurt me in the past. I didn't want to be alone. Nothing happened, Uriel. Please believe me." Cas pleaded. Uriel nodded, before slapping him.

"Don't let it happen again." Uriel said coolly, before walking out, dragging a pissed off Anna behind him. As soon as they were gone, Gabe, Sam, and Dean went to Castiel.

"I'm fine. Just leave me alone." He mumbled. Gabe and Sam went outside.

"I guess, let's go up to my room. We can talk there. Gabe said. So they went upstairs, realizing that Dean would probably be the only one able to calm Cas down at this point.
